I keep my guitars and amps in the bedroom, and sometimes play them there. I normally use the smaller 15- or 25 watt practice amps, but the temptation to move the walls is too strong to resist sometimes.

I've got an practice gig tomorrow to lay down some vocal tracks for a private gathering on Saturday. I can't both play and sing at the same time so I guess we have to pull a Milli-Vanilli .

After these pixs were taken, I added a B410 cab to the pack too.

Question:

Does anyone find it really hard to sing harmony with the lead singer while you are also playing the bass at the same time?

Smits of the Eagles seems to do it OK - but I find it really hard.

I received my Acoustic B115 bass cabinet ... no ports in the cabinet. I challenged GC since their website indicates their ported. Here is there response ...

"Dear Customer.

That is correct. Your new Acoustic Bass Amplifier does not come with "ports." Our webpage says the following:

"The B115 bass cabinet features a rock-solid, tuned and ported design with heavy internal bracing..."

The key words here are "ported design." It is the design of the actual speaker itself. Porting a speaker increases efficiency by allowing the back-wave generated by the driver to reinforce the front-wave. Producing an all-around clear and vibrant sound.


I hope this clears up any confusion.

That's called 'Marketing-ese' and is used when the company is caught having to defend a printed mis-statement and swings into scramble-mode. Sometimes referred to as 'B/S-ification' and/or 'An Answer To Everything-speak', it is widely employed by those who did not pre-read their advertising copy and underestimated the end-users' language skills.

Depends on which bass I'm using. Right now with my 4 string Jazz with broken in Rotosound RS66s, it's:

low - 1:00
low mid - 11:00
high mid - 1:00
high - 2:00

Still experimenting with my Jazz fretless 5'er with Chromes. So far I'm using a similar setting, but adding a bit more high mid and backing off the lows just a tad. But I'm still experimenting with that. Of course everyone's settings on their bass are going to be different, too. But there's a lot of amazing tone in this little amp.
