This is the second e-mail about the troubles with my NEW B-450. I also called and got put on eternal hold.
It developed a death rattle - I saw the screws that were on the top speaker were not even tight by using a flashlight and looking through the cloth grill.
I removed the grill (Surprise!! It's held in with Velcro!! Nice touch!!) --- and I tightened the screws but the problem came back next gig and I took the top 10" speaker out and found the (female) spade connex were loose and falling off the speaker (male) spade connex.
I called - I e-mailed and generally could get no response from anyone at this same e-mail address, so with being ignored by you, I went ahead and soldered pigtails on the spades of both speakers, added automotive shielded spades and connectors on the rest of the wires, making sure that the wire gauge was exactly the same as OE and put it all back together.
Surely my repair this way also help to keep the amp from going open-ended and frying it's brains out - THAT WOULD MAKE A MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE WARRANTY CLAIM --- NO?
It is now cured.
I had just also bought a B410 cabinet and just today I went and bought a B115 cabinet to round out my needs.
I've spent a lot of money with your people and I do not like being ignored and treated like the crazy aunt you put in the attic when company arrives. It's not nice and I wonder what your service after sales credo really is.
Do you treat everybody with problems the same way or are you picking on just me?
I spent valuable time diagnosing, repairing and generally doing right what you should have covered for me with what cannot be more that 30-days after purchase. I have also minimized any claims for a blown amp - consider that!
Now - I like both speaker cabs and combo unit - it's sweet and mellow and can really suck the air outta your lungs and sterilize farm animals at 1/2 mile away (I live in the rurals so I know! and I am not complaining about effective instrumentation and great sounds. You've got that all very well covered.
I am complaining about being ignored.
That's not nice and sure makes it hard to recommend your equipment to anyone else.
How do you feel this can be rectified and you come back into my graces again?
I realize that I may not need to buy much or any more of your speaker cabs or combos, since I have pretty much what I want and need right now so I don't represent a threat - at least not monetarily to you any more - but this is surely some bad karma by you guys. I really am quite upset and question your ethics.
How about a free 2-way pedal for my B-450? I'd be happy that way.
