Billy Gould / Paul D'Amour / Adam Clayton ...this is off the top of my head, there are sooo many guys that influenced these, like JPJ, Geddy, Entwhistle, Chris Squire etc... but these three stuck out as the guys that made me want to pick up the instrument..

My style is a mixture of those bassist's styles..

Main bass is definately a 4003 Ric

I already own a Mesa Bass 400, and an old GK 800RB as a 2nd amp/rehearsal/practice amp, so I have no need for another amp..

I have an Eden 210T, and love it's tone, so maybe an Eden 810XLT, or try out a big Schroeder cab....

i'm a sensible man, so eden WT800B w/ two 410XST cabs, i.e. easy to get, and readily available from most any rental/cartage companies.

1) I have many influences from 60's rock to New Wave to country and jazz and most of everything in between. I suppose Peter Hook, Simon Gallup, David J. and John Paul Jones are on top of the list.
2) I guess you can call it electronic based rock. We use keyboard and drum sequences.
3) Right now I'm using a Fender P-Bass Lyte with flatwounds. I'd love to pick up some old bass from the 70's (Ovation Magnum, Ibanez Musician, Guild, etc.) I love basses that weigh 50 pounds and are really beefy sounding. If it's too heavy, you're too wimpy. You're suppose to be a bass player, dammit. Also, no active pickups. I hate those batteries.
4) My rig would be a Peavey Max 700 (or maybe one of their new amps when the come out) and two 15's. It's simple, reliable, loud, and very cheap. I'm very practical when it comes to amps. I'm more concerned about playing music than some $3000 worth of bells and whistles. I've played though those so called high end rigs, and I'd say they aren't worth the price tag. That's just me, though.
