The best P Bass

Hey guys! You may recognize me from the J vs. P thread I created some weeks ago. It got lots of votes and interesting replies, and the Jazz Bass won the poll. I had voted for it. But the thing is, I just fell to the P again. Tried a black American Standard the other day and fell in love with its tone. I've always been a fan of bright sounds so the Jazz used to feel better in my hands, but the tone of the Precision is something different. It's a bit darker, with great sounding lows, but always maintaining a bright sound, building the perfect sound for me: bright, but it's a different kind of bright. And of course, it's the classic rock bass, so it's way more useful, as I play in a punk rock band. And if you think about it, there are so many different bassists that use Precision Basses and have so different sounds from each others; it's really versatile. I can go for really bright Mike Dirnt-like kind of sound, perfect for rock, fat chunky blues, slapping, harmonics, funk, reggae, jazz, and even chords! Of course, not as versatile as a Jazz Bass, but it's more than enough for me. It's strong, agressive, versatile, classic, beautiful, feels great, perfect! So now I'm saving money to buy an American Standard. But which one of these do you think is the most beautiful?

I think the one with the maple fingerboard and black pickguard is the cooler one, but I'd like to hear your opinions.

Black with a tort pickguard is nice too.

I love the all black plus a rosewood fretboard. I think it looks so gnarly and mean on just about anything. The white pickguard with rosewood is ok too, more of a classic look, but my vote was still black/black/rosewood.

Personally, I like black/rosewood/tort. Since that's not one of your options, I'd go black/maple/black.

I have a P Bass Deluxe Montego Black . I favor darker color schemes ,black with white pickguards,etc.......Hides the nicks and scratches.................................

I love the B B rosewood, if the five strings came with that choice I would have got one, but alas I had to "settle" on 3T burst Tort Rosewood for my amer std 5

Of the four, black-white-maple.

Don't forget, there is more than looks to these...maple and rosewood have a different sound.
