Radio Shack batteries were decent, if unexceptional, IME.

Again, depends. There was s period where they were the shortest-lived batteries I knew of.

"You get what you pay for." I knew a guy that made the rounds of several Radio Shacks every month!

Hey, when you know you are selling batteries that are supposed to last for a year, and they don't...what do you do? Well, the board met and said, "Let's start a Battery of the Month Club to hide the crap we are selling". The board agreed and the "Battery of the Month Club" was born. What could go wrong?

I used to buy their rechargeable batteries to power my boom boxes in my truck. And they were a great place to get adapters for cables. These days most cables are kinda standardized. But I always seem to be looking for yet another cable adapter to make all the electronics stuff I had work and integrate.
My older brother used to build Heathkits and I think he got those from radio shack? Those stores served their purpose for a while.
They had some good transistor radios and regular radios like alarm clock types.
I was building home theaters when that wasn’t a thing and I got a subwoofer from radio shack that I still have that I retired that I used for 20 years.
When we went to the mall my wife went looking at clothes and Radio Shack was a place for me to go and check stuff out while she did that…..

Yep, Radio Shack was like a toy store for me back then. Sure changed though.

There is a difference between decent and short-lived.
I have heard of a list of decent musicians who did not make it to 28.

Hey Darrell! So I take it that's a recent pickup? How do you like it so far? I always thought that generation of Fenders were pretty nifty-looking.

Thanks. I've only been noodling around on it at home but loving it. Great tone and features. Pre/Post DI with level, Mid frequency and level, Contour level and that 10" Eminence speaker sounds great. Awesome little practice amp, especially for the price!

I had that same combo! I used it from 1983 to 1987. I got a lot of compliments on the tone!
