One could almost say the B-15 needs tool to remove it completely from the cab. Just flipping the latches, you're left with a cab without a top panel. On the B-15R, you have to remove four screws to seperate the head from the isolated bottom, then remove four nuts to remove the bottom from the cab top, then replace the four screws to re-attach the bottom to prevent an accidental discharge of residual tubey voltage goodness.

To answer the question, I would like a number if possible. Thanks!

That Dapper Bass looks pretty versatile.
I have to admit that it does feel a bit absurd buying a pedal almost as expensive as my bass and combo together, but goodness it sounds fantastic. I’m having so much fun with it now, and it’ll still be useful to me well into the future.

Now I really look forward to everyone going out so I can turn the volume up and hear it all properly.

^^^^ this. B-15 is a combo- same serial number, flip to protect tubes- enclosed. Sort of the “Monotreme” egg-laying ancestor of the class D neo bantamweight combos if today. (Ducks and runs)

The B-15R's have a great vintage vibe on stage. Heavy to lift as a whole unit. I do gig with a combo primarily... The B-15R, SVR-212 or SVR-215. I keep an SVR-212 at my parish and it gets used 1-2 times a week. I guess I'm combos all the way except my rehearsal rig - but even that isn't a conventional amp.

Yeah….pricey, but a fly rig like that is as good as an amp in many situations.

I have a Behringer BDI 21 that I have used sans amp at some tight venues. It’s a simple SansAmp clone, but does it well.

That was a steal at $30 US Spacebucks (40 AUS? Sounds right.)

How does it compare to whatever else you have played through?

It's a heck of a lot lighter lol. I was skeptical due to its size, but it had good reviews and at the time I wanted an amp that didn't color the sound but was fairly loud and could handle the 5th string of a 5er, and it does both of those. The fact that I have relatives that had a really nice home audio system with small speakers and no sub helped sway me. Being powered by an external power brick was a nice addition, too, because I have a large-capacity DC power bank.
