The secret minutes escaped. Apparently FL was burned out and issued a NYE resolution to resign at midnight CST, new FL or no. I asked an innocent half dozen questions about the bylaws, and next thing I knew I was volunteered.[1] And here we are. FL#1 is alive and well, and NOT working at the pointy end of a bayonet at a lettuce farm in Siberia. Pinky promise.


[1] Or perhaps I volunteered. With all the sparkling grape juice consumed, things are fuzzy.

After researching the PJB Micro and the double 4 and the double 5 and the pro series and the upcoming Nano I had settled on waiting for the PJB Nano coming out in February.
Now with @Koldunya s strong endorsement of her double 4 and of course @Morrighan s love of hers (and I respect the hell out of her opinion) I’m getting GAS again.
But if the double 4 then why not the double 5 at 120 watts and 150 bucks more? But wait the Nano would be so cool to travel with, around the house and on the road. And use as a Bluetooth speaker! But wait I have blue tooth speakers. But the Nano is 5 lbs! What’s the matter with you the double 4 is only 15 pounds! But the double 4 is 150 bucks more than the Nano! Arrghhhhh!! Now I didn’t know what to do!
Help!!!!!

Currently under new sailing orders, very much toying with giving private lessons. Here on Earthside Daily Physical Reality ® the Thing That's Going Around is still going around. My working rig is PJB combo, an inexpensive DAW, an SM58, and a Webcam. :wacky:

The PJB Cub Pro (BG-120) is the smallest PJB combo with a DI that I see. Webcam, right? Paired with a C2 extension cab (yeah, I think about this), that's a lot of small gig territory covered. New sailing orders.

Playing full tilt in front of 2x15s is something everyone understands, in principle or in practice. Forty years ago I would have thought I died and went to heaven if I had a PJB rig. I'd have to buy a guard dog. And own a backup.

And wonder not for the first time ...

I heard of, and was present to, just an awful lot of equipment theft. People I know, stuff is gone ... And you know what? I never heard of anyone stealing a Peavey. Marshall, gone. Stratocaster, gone.

Kept my Peavey a long, long time. And it worked, too.

This post has me confused on so many levels.

1. What's a "double 5"? Are you talking about the Cub Pro?
2. Does @Morrighan have a Double Four?
3. When did the Double Four go to 15 pounds? Mine weighs 9 pounds.

Of course, I've been sick for nearly a solid week, so I'm not thinking very clearly. Neg COVID test; it's just a bad ick that started as horrible sore throat and has now migrated into my sinus and created a persistent cough that robs me of sleep.

Combo club members! I've checked every member on the list and made notes on those who have been absent a while (just because), and those who seem to have disappeared. The latter are the main ones I'm curious about. @G-Dog has already cleared up a few mysteries, either misspellings or name changes. I figured out a couple of types/name changes as well. But I'd like to know about the following people:

Guessing the Double Five is likely the Bass Cub Pro. I went big and own only a BG-400 combo. No regrets. Trust your ick clears up soon.
