The Combo Club

OK, here's pics on what I did to create my neo-combine. When I pressed the small Bam200 amp down onto the grippers attached to the Elf cab, I could actually hear a loud ~click~ as they grabbed!
Anyway it's nothing fancy, not a lot of extra features (which I'm ok with), but as a combine it's got a neat 1x10 speaker, a 200Ws 'available' amp, and is lightweight and easily portable. What I like best about it tho is it's tone; it has a clear and transparent PJB type of sound which is a nice change from my {also much liked} Ampeg gear's sound...

I need something else to raise it up higher off the ground tho; I don't quite trust the plastic milk crate I use for that now.

Cool combine, Grey! You might try a raising and tilt-back amp stand.


Although, about the edit time, I tend to believe the automatic timestamps on your post more than your edit's manual "timestamp". :roflmao:

Going to say off the top of my head that's enough Dual Lock to be effectively permanent.

Yeah.. But I think it's not so much the actual dual locking grippers that one might have to be concerned about; -that seems to really hold together! -But if one wanted to worry it might possibly be about the glue on their other side that holds them to the gears surfaces...

I'm about to go clean, lube, and adjust my new bicycle and then practice some songs I need to play next Sunday. My goal is to get way beyond mediocre on these songs. That will still leave my average playing level well within bounds for this club.

I think. Therefore I yam.

Which trips my over-thinking lever. What determines mediocrity for purposes of club eligibility? Is it the best one can do on a specific song in the right situation? Is it the average playing level? If average, are we talking mean, median, or mode - and of what, exactly? Or is it the likelihood of being selected from a typical pool of five applicants to play bass in a dad rock band?
