Soul man, of course two chained R100s is more powerful and disperses bass better than a R200c on its own. But, I'll go even further and say the two R100s is the more perfect 200 watt stack. The R200c with a R115 cab is
very close but, IMO, just
slightly less perfect. Yes, both have identical matching
speakers for that awesome
coupling effect, but they don't both have identical
cabinets! Only the two R100s have that. The R115 cab is bigger than the R200c. It's a small difference, perhaps, but it's there.
Some will say that the larger 15" cone size overrides that difference and easily overwhelms the 12" stack. Well, ... actually, tonewise, that may possibly be. It is still quite subjective, after all. But, there is not as much
inherent difference between speaker sizes these days as there used to be! And that's true, especially, in the Rumble line of combos and cabs where they have all been designed and tuned to work well together.
Then, too, the two R100s provide a backup amp in emergencies that the R200c & R115 cab don't. And the two R100s weigh
very nearly 30 lb.s less than the R200c & R115 stack! (I know which ones I'd rather load in and out.) Not to mention the lower cost of the R100s.
Just some food for thought. Hope it helps.
