One of the cars I owned for 15 years was called a Holden Statesman and it had a boot size the size of Carnegie Hall lolll

Also known as a Chevy Caprice in the USA. And it did indeed have a huge arse, but which began to shrink in the late eighties... (But then don't everybody's?)
My tube amp combos went face up if possible, otherwise standing up.
Other combos went face down when there was room, otherwise standing up.
The only speakers I blew were cheap, under-powered, replacement speakers that came in a used combo (Univox's response to the Fender Twin Reverb), the first time I cranked the amp. I never made that mistake again.
The second Rumble 100 I bought directly from Fender in November started popping every few minutes while powered on, as of a month or so back. I emailed Fender consumerrelations early this month and never heard back. Today I called. After a few minutes on hold, I was transferred to Mark. He looked and found no hint they’d gotten the email. OK, it happens.
After discussing things for a couple of minutes, he sent me an email. I sent him back a video showing what the amp does. Within another couple of minutes I was told a new amp would be coming my way. Mark’s email asked me to send the amp to an e-waste facility, but a bit later I got an RMA, so I guess I’ll scrounge a box and ship the old one back.
It’ll be good to have two amps again. Meanwhile, the several year old used R100 keeps trucking along, and I’m happy with Fender service.

The built-in speakers in my car face every direction a weathercock can imagine except down, so far I haven't had any problems with them. I think the same about my cabs.
That's real good to read! ~I received the same good service from Sweetwater regarding both a buzzy Ampeg 12" cab, and then later an Ampeg PF350 amp that crapped out some 18 or 19 months into their 2 year full warranty... ~S'good to know musicians still have these kinds of protections from companies that care about their products and customers!

What do I see in our local CL but an Ampeg BA108v2 in excellent condition for 75 spacebucks. That the baby 'Peg hits way above its class is not unremarked upon at TB. I paid 99 for mine, and it sees everyday use. If it had a DI, I would record with it. But don't need two. In theory, I could run both from an ABY pedal, ah that rig only gets dork points.

I sometimes think of going to that Markbass 2x10 combo. I really like how you can tilt it back to use as a floor monitor if desired.

brisonic - I don't know why more combo amp manufacturers don't do this - it's unbelevelbly awesome!!!
No sound man has ever told me to turn down. In contrast, the last venue we played, the sound man told me that the band the night before had an unbelievably loud stage rig - GK amp with 4x10" speaker cab that was "firing" into his legs. Sound man told him to turn down but the bass player said he couldn't hear himself.

My main amp is my Hartke KB15 and it has been my workhorse for almost 3 years. It’s got a great clean tone, it’s loud as heck and it hasn’t given me a single issue since I bought it. The best part is that what I hear out of my preamp is exactly what will go to the pa.
This is my VT Bass 200 and it is pretty darn okay. It’s not super loud but it’s awesome for quiet stages and can get you a great tone for whatever you want to do. I’ve debated getting an extension speaker for it, but for what they cost I could get a Rumble 500.

Yikes! That's a hefty extension speaker price tag. Sounds like you play big / loud gigs!
Danke. Not many big gigs, but certainly an occasional loud one. The VT is such a great sounding amp, but it tends to disappear when the drummer gets excited!
Mostly though it’s giving me a good excuse to get a Rumble so I don’t have to move a rig when I’d rather be rocking!

Danke. Not many big gigs, but certainly an occasional loud one. The VT is such a great sounding amp, but it tends to disappear when the drummer gets excited!
Mostly though it’s giving me a good excuse to get a Rumble so I don’t have to move a rig when I’d rather be rocking!
I use a VT Bass Deluxe in front of my combo
