Are you considering it for its size or its size plus modeling ability? If just size, I highly recommend the Rumble 40 combo. It's got a 10" driver with a 3 tone options, plus a decent overdrive, and delivers real bass sounds. If the modeling is important to you, take a look at the Rumble Studio 40. It's a dynamite amp. I had the regular 40 in the States, but had to sell it when I moved to France (not dual voltage). Once here, I bought a Studio 40. It's superb. With the GTX-7 pedal and the Fender Tone app, it's a winner.Hey, anybody have experience with the Boss Dual Cube combo? My new bass needs an amp…

Nope. That's the 25 and LT25. The 40 has always had a 10" speaker. Not to be picky, just that the 40 is listed with an 8” speaker.
Well, this does-but I never use it(2000 Bassman25)The mighty Ampeg BA108v2+ in action. The dongle in the AUX IN is a Bluetooth receiver. A mic (SM58 because of course) picks up the metronome clicks from the smrtphn. The mic connected to one channel of the PreSonus Audiobox USB 96, and the instrument is connected to the other channel. This is how I play with a metronome in a Zoom lesson.
Turning off the mic when I record to the Webcam means I can play to the metronome as a click track when we need to sync videos.
The line hanging off the Bluetooth receiver is just a short USB charging cable that I have no reason to unplug from the unit. lol.
The volume control for the AUX IN line is one of the strongest features of this amp. I don't know why more amps don't have one.

I got a call mid-afternoon asking if I had a portable PA I could bring to a small service tonight. Just for talking and a solo singer. Technically no but “Sure thing!” I took my Mackie mixer, a Shure SM57 (because someone I trusted never returned my 58), my Rumble 100, and cables, stands, etc. unbalanced main output into Rumble fx return. Worked like a champ. Thanks, @GonePlaid , for talking about using your Rumble for CDs between sets!
Or likely mic'ed up. I remember when jake was in.Hey, that's pretty cool.
Rumbles are jake in my book. "Jake" is/was slang in a NYC borough I don't recall for "meets all criteria for good", as related to me by the editor of a major metro daily.
How's things? I ask?
Everything's jake, he replies.
It pays(tho not enuff) to be versatile. Got a call Wednesday 1030 from a bass player friend of mine. Seems he brought something back from a visit to England that he didn't want. So I sat in for him on a big band gig tonight. I'd played most of the charts B4, so it went pretty well.I remember when jake was in.
Maybe Amazon is taking description lessons from GC.I was going on the upfront ad copy on Amazon showing 8”. Further down in the specs it does state 10”
