I use my IPhone for media play into the 800. It goes in wirelessly via Bluetooth and the phone controls playback volume as a selected main menu option in the amp.A bigger one for us headphones users is the lack of an Aux In volume control like Ampeg has on their combos.

It still goes into the preamp section so it’s affected by each varying patch. That part is annoying for me so I use other equipment for that particular function.
What? And lose yer 'man card'?Thanks, Ghostie for the response. I was beginning to think I wrote my manifesto in Latin. Actually, I know it's more difficult to reply when a person doesn't have direct contact with whatever particular amp being discussed. Yeah, I run the phones out from my laptop to the 800 and play tag with the volume control. No biggie.
Have you recorded from the 800 with a computer? I ran n old Shure mic from the laptop today and got a meh vocal recording from it. Not surprised, and I'd like to use the combo to run to the computer, but I'm not sure what I need. I downloaded the ASIO 210 driver, but haven't hooked it up yet. I'm calling all Studio and stage owners who record to walk me through if you can. Otherwise, I'm getting out I may whip up a new batch of oobleck! Either that or actually read the Audacity manual...

Ooblek, AKA Alien Juice, AKA Space Mud can be quite entertaining!
I understand it also has certain tonal properties.
If your amp is rated at ooblik watts how much driver area do I need for proper dispersion to backline in Camelot? Never mind, 'tis a silly place.

By all that is right side up on General Grant's horse I can see one of those Vox amps in my space. Very cool. Very cool.
So is this one of those group pact things where everyone in the club picks up a Vox VX50 BA? Cool idea! Then somehow we have to get a picture of the Combo Club's Vox Clique, or CCVC for short. It also is the spelling pattern, Consonant-Consonant-Vowel-Consonant, but does that matter? Who's in beside G-Dog and Doc?
I don't care if he's technically not a numbered CC member but, @Killed_by_Death has GOT to be in the CCVC, officially or not! He got me interested in the VX50BA enough to take a chance in the first place, then to stay with it when it didn't sound so good right out of the box. His collaboration and encouragement in exploring this nu technology was invaluable to me and I'm very grateful to him for that.
