The Combo Club

I still use this for small gigs:
(sorry--mine is in storage right now, so I had to swipe a pic from the web)

I bought mine circa 1984. I've replaced the speaker 4 times and the caps twice. Not top of the line, but it works. Especially on those gigs with a 6' x 6' stage.

Old reliable SWR Super Redhead, with a Bag End D10B-D (no tweeter) ext. cab for the huge stuff.
Original speakers - just new tubes, pot cleaning, etc.
Had to drill holes and add the rack mount fan for the 2 ohm load... works well.
Many years of compliments and epic memories.
The little SWR Spellbinder Blue cops the tone of the big rig pretty well at 27lbs.

Super Redhead is definitely my "unicorn" combo. Looks great, sounds even better, and super reliable. Wish I could find a modern equivalent in combo form to enjoy. Not sure if anything on the market even comes close!

It's almost 2 years since any new member numbers were issued here in this Combo Club. The originator last issued #42 to @alaskaleftybass on April 1, 2015. And that was the originator's last participation in this club thread. No successor was named and no one has voluntarily taken up the job.

I recommend those of us seeking membership numbers proceed in orderly fashion to research the next available sequential number and stake a claim to it. So, I claim member #43 in this Combo Club. I posted my required photo over a year ago, as quoted below. How 'bout it?

Here's a pic of my combos. That's a Fender Bassman 150/112 on top of a Bassman 250/115 and a Fender Rumble 500/210 on top of a Bassman Neo 115 cab. I use as many as I think the gig requires each time. May I join the club and get a number, please?

I'll do you one better @G-Dog . How about you go ahead and head this little club? :)

Why, thank you, @alaskaleftybass. I appreciate your vote of confidence! :D But, after careful consideration, I've decided that I shall not seek, nor will I accept, the nomination to any office at this time.

Does this make me member #44?
I just posted my fender rumble v3 100 watt combo before.
