I like it. Graphic eq sliders are all on 11.
Hmm. My Ibanez semi-hollow has V and T with a 3 position pup switch: neck, neck/bridge, bridge.Likely faulty memory is yapping about some very innovative and non-intuitive electronics on the T-40.
Actually I see the V-V-T-T passive electronics on my semi-holllowbody as non-intuitive.
And in actually Reading The Fine Manual on my BG-400 combo I see for the very first time - it's a halogen light that went on somewhere above my head in the cartoon panel - there's a preamplifier output jack that is intended to drive a second amp. Which means in addition to the combo and extension cab, I can go stereo with a second rig. That's a great deal of firepower ....

Well, wouldn't ya know it? I go off to Springtime Bass Camp for a few days and the whole place goes berserk. Wow, miss a little, miss a lot. It took five dozen fifth-grade essays on star brightness due to their distance to get the guy from Oz back with us, but then it's worth it. Glad to see you again, Giff! When I come up for air I'll go through your posts and see what's up. I loved the way ya'll jumped right in to make him feel welcome. A 10% salary increase for all those reading this. As soon as the essay revisions end so I can get some free time I will be back on more regularly. Did someone mention Easter break? three days and counting...
On a much more somber note, Ghostie, I'm sure you read what your club buddies have been wishing you and your dear wife peace and understanding. We're all thinking of you both at this time and await the opportunity to converse with you again. We'll keep the light on in case you need a break from reality in the coming days. We know it's been a tough period but believe in the power and grace of God. Someone is waiting for her, my friend.
Keep the faith, Combo Club. You're great folk and it's comforting to know that you're out there all over the world.

Now for something completely different loll. I left this review in the Rumble club..may as well wack it in here too, after all it is a Combo lol.
My little Fender V2 Rumble Combo 75 with it's great tiltback feature design, has what is called a 12" Fender Special Design driver in it and sounds good and punchy. Nice little practise Rumble amp and ive also used it for small gigs, adult birthday party events, small open air gigs over the years too.

Yeh the tiltback is a great design! All in for anything that makes it easier to hear myself on stage. Basically my amp and cabs are so small now I'm blasting my ankles .... And realized a few days ago it's possible to use my own tiltback combo as a stage monitor if need be.
Love traveling light after prehistory when my rig is only a proper rig when it's as tall as me.
And very pleased to inform we now offer Ersatz Bros coffee at the Combo Club all-night cinema and laundromat.

Thanks and sure, let's have a number! The little Traynor is surprisingly loud and giggable. A friend of mine, who is a semi professional player with world class chops borrowed it a few months ago and is now going to buy one for his home studio. He was blown away by the little thing. I'm jealous of not only his chops but also his bass (a Martin EB 28)
Tested out with a new band last night.. drummer was louder than my usual one, plus keys and vocals. PJB BG-400 cut through extremely well I thought. Might need to save up for a C4 though.. just to get the edge.. Mind you, my ankles were well and truly blasted. Everyone is mightily impressed that such a small cab produces so much grunt!

[Muscle Shoals] I'll tell you whut [/Muscle Shoals] I remain suitably agog at how much grunt - yes, your noun is the proper noun - Grunt comes out of the BG-400. The C4 just makes it all the sweeter. Any thought of when and where I would need two C8 cabs is too far away to conjecture. The cab stork looks to be taking notes on a Cab 27 to pair with my Elf when I want to go smaller yet. Even though I have every reason to believe that pairing will carry a lot of rooms before I run out of room.
Had to Google a BG-400...at 14 x 12 x 13 inches its almost a cube shape...neat little combo.

Yep an ankle rattler for sure! The Compact 4 is the same size and makes a great knee-height rig LOL Owing to its design, Phil Jones recommends coupling it to the floor and wall for maximal bass response. And it's quite a lot of bass that comes out! These tiny drivers turn on a dime. Quite a surprise after no actual personal experience beyond two 1x15 cabs.
