The Combo Club

AFAIK, there aren't any pics of me 'in the day' playing my bass. Some crappy quality vhs videos, but thassit.

Then you need to grab your T-bird and head on down to G’Dog’s House of Photos. You tell him what you want, he’ll whip it up in no time and you’ll be the envy of the club! I’m thinking your face on a bodybuilder while striking a rock star pose. What do ya think, GP?

There's a related thread here / there but

Do you take your combo and extension cab to all gigs? Is there really rig overkill? Or is rig overkill a Good Thing?

Asking (in part) because a 3-5 kg carry with a small low wattage combo looks like Win to me if just playing a Sunday brunch. Or pack 20-25 kg of muscle combo + extension for that whap that only comes with a lot of drivers?

I need that WHAP Morri so I take the Rumble500c and the 115 cab..can always turn down a tad, but hard to turn up if the ext. cab is sitting at home, besides I like the added depth of the 15" loll

One of the recent related threads: Go big or go small for gigs

It could be that I'm a colourless, grey man, given over to too much logic, but I'm a big fan of context, context, context. Or to put it another way, I would not like seeing a bassist wielding a

Alternatively, I've brought a tiny 12 to a large-ish stage w/o FOH, much to my embarrassment. (So much for logic, eh?)

One of the great things about having my van(s) is being able to take my extension cab to places we haven't played b4 and use it if needed-or not.
