Yes sir! Sadly, I see #68 is already taken, but I'll take the next best number.![]()

You got it, my friend. Just as soon as I talk myself out of my chair on this lazy, cloudy, Sunday afternoon.

I'm heading off to surgery. Rogue bass guitar surgery, that is. Gonna add the thumb rest to my Beatle bass but have decided to use double-sided tape first in case I'm not feeling it. Then hold it down with the provided screws later if I do decide to keep it on. I supposed to be working on next week's lessons...![]()
Nah, not embarrassed. Nice to get compliments since we're usually ignored unless we make a glaring clam. I do the 'Frog' voice in our group, too.Yeah, the vocal treatment at the end of the MS verses was distinctive. I had a feeling it wasn’t an accident either!
For not playing Line before, I thought you did a really nice job. Simple song, but again, the bass really drives it.
I’m sure you were embarrassed at my gushing review but if I hadn’t felt like saying what I said, I wouldn’t have. Your age and experience really shows. It’s where I aim to get in another twenty years!
FWIW, there's a guy* on fleabay that sells ebony(Gibson TBird)reproduction tug bars for $35.[google Gibson tug bar]Mission accomplished. Doc, how do you think I did? Am I ready for brain surgery yet? I'm asking 'cuz G'Dog's been complaining of headaches lately...
So I'm gonna try it to see if it offers me more tonal options. I wish Fender would've made it out of wood instead of cheap, hollow plastic with a matte finish too. And for a hundred bucks too? Crazy!
Yeah, I do that with my Squier VM Jag SS.The space between the two topside screws on a MM pickup always works as the perfect thumb rest on the 'Ray.
I just found a made in Italy Markbass CMD 121P bass combo. I like it very much.

I had one of those and got the NY121 extension cab for it too......nice and light to carry
That's pretty much what I use. But my Walkabout Scout has developed an intermittent problem that is hard for the service department to diagnose. It failed on a gig (and, of course, I didn't have a backup) and I have been ruthlessly testing it for days, trying to make it do the same thing--without success. I love that combination, but I can't trust it anymore. I shoehorned a David Eden WT-300 head into that space in the cabinet so I could still use it with the Subway 1x15. It sounds OK, but I would rather have the Walkabout back. I guess I will look for another combo that fills the bill. I might pick up another Scout-12 used.
Not my main rig, but does this count?
I think it looks great! Is it sturdy enough? Does impact tone? These are the important questions in my mind?Mission accomplished. Doc, how do you think I did? Am I ready for brain surgery yet? I'm asking 'cuz G'Dog's been complaining of headaches lately...

Timely message indeed! The stories I could tell about this place. Thanks Doc. Here’s the embarrassing news: I didn’t even play this vacation. Other than sticking on the rest, I didn’t even noodle around and have only once since school began.
I came down with a cold on Friday and am just beginning to feel better. I have to stick some scores in later tonight and may monkey around to if the tape holds.
You’re underway at school, correct? Take my advice and say NO to anything you’re asked to do that’s beyond your contract and enjoy your Hofners!![]()

You are absolutely in, bklee. That’s a great pic of your amp rig. Where was it taken at, Baltimore? I’ll get a number in just a bit.
As for your Walkabout, search for Agedhorse here on the forum. I believe he works for Mesa and is the preeminent amp guru. Just ask him for an idea if what you may be looking at with your amp. He may be able to assist you. Please keep us posted. Number coming.
