They have been discontinued a few years ago. That series definitely had problems.
My 70's setup was a SUNN 2x15 & 6x10 cabinet. Got them both in the back of a VW Beatle. Lolol. Back seat removed.
Back then, I was a Roadie. Moving equipment was at times a challenge. Not as much loading, and unloading at the airports, but getting across town to the location. "OUCH"!

That's what I read on old TalkBass treads. Unreliable. And nothing much for sale out there. If I had the basement music room I'd planned on, I'd get a MB30 just for show. Smiles
The doctor knows best. It’s gotta be the right one though, Doc. I’m curious to know what that bass would sound like with a more modern tone. Then again, old school working in conjunction with old school is pretty cool too. Mathis is the stuff I ponder between grading papers.
BTW, you’re up to your old cleverness again, Sir ‘Dog. Why do I inadvertently continue to set you up like that? When will I ever learn? Oh yeah, and I’ll take one of those pamphlets too...
You guys will like if you’re into the Markbass tone. It’s a great addition for added volume and it’s easy to move. I used it with a 121P.

Yes a good autumn project, and on the verge of ordering all the bits. How goes?
Moved my big gear into another room for a few weeks as general order is restored. Which means the BA-108 is my only amp in my bass space. Where I practice with a practice amp. Kind of amazing, really. And got it nicely kicked back, pointed right up where I play. It's such a good feature.

If there are more power and light combos, if you want to play a Jazz Bass or similiar the Sealed combo Peavey reveal unique tone with the harmonic chamber and vintage gain options.
For two reasons
The first the Peavey mid presence (default of electronics)
10" or 12" cone in sealed box, has unequal feeling for vintage sound.
Now I'm interesting in 2x8"combo....200w i do not need more pover of 100w of my 110 but a little bit more power in live scene without microphoning couuld be more right sound for my bass.

hoping it sounds the same as what is in my combo. I assume it is the same speaker looks like a similar enclosure. Perfect speaker for me and plays well with the mark bass amp. Plus no tweeter needed!

Yes, I had an MB4210 and the 1x15 extn cab. Too heavy for my dodgy knee but the combo sounded great, in fact I think it sounded better without the 1x15 plugged-in!
I had a MB4210 also. If I remember, it was 110, or 115 pounds. It did sound good. That MDF really added some extra weight to the MB Series gear. I had a MB210 combo with a 115 cab also that was pretty fine too.

The replacement speaker will be going in this weekend, either late tomorrow night or sometime on Saturday. I’m looking forward to dropping it in and seeing how it fits. Again, I’ll take pics.
M, October is here and we’re looking at cooler temps to where you can put on a sweatshirt and not get hot. Great time to experiment!
Oh yes, the cabinet design is a winner. The monitor wedge offers more ways to set up your speaker to be used forward or upward. I like that wedge pointing towards my ears where I hear it so much better. Add a little bass and it balances out perfectly.
The crazy thing is, the Ampeg is not even my fave amp to use at this moment. The winner has a wide lead over everything else I own and I am truly shocked.
Just got a Ashdown Original 300 112. Very happy with it. Not popular yet won the bassplayer Magazine #1 Combo in 2018. 27 lbs and great to carry to rehearsal and moderate loudness gigs. Great Tone Options.
