Welcome adjectives...our fearless leader (FL) iagtrplyr will assign you a club number if you want. nice little combo that Ampeg. I had a lovely Fender Precision bass just like that about 1970ish and sold it cause I was young and stupid. Another mistake i'll never get back..sold 3 basses that I wish I still had..a Gibbo EB3 short neck, Mid 70's Rickenbacker 4000 bass and the Precision.
Live Learn and Regret as many bass players here also have the unfortunate experience.
I am keeping my Fender Rumble 500 Combo, Peavey rig, and all my various 8 basses no matter what goes on in my life from here on out loll

I almost forgot about my other little combo. Last time I used it was end of Jan. this year then tucked it away and forgot about it. I had an outdoors BBQ birthday party to play at with muso mates and decided the larger combos and Peavey rig were too big and loud for a suburban backyard BBQ party. I was quite surprised by the power, clarity and volume of this little combo. A great loud portable little amp. Fender Rumble 75 (watt) with a 12" Special Design Fender Driver. Surprisingly loud for a small package.

The 2nd generation line wasn’t bad sounding, though my opinion is that they did improve upon it with the current Rumbles. How much did they one weigh, Giff? That combo would be similar to today’s 100 which checks in at around 22 lbs.

For all those who had trouble with my Aussie explanation here is the translation....
I can't write or understand any French either friends, but i'm great at a suspect mixture of Aussie lowlife and cattleman's English. It's a very very hot 40c today here in Adelaide guys and girls and i'm just laying about in my swimming trunks hoping for a quick swim in my mates swimming pool...time for an ice cold beer. Now give me a fair chance you friends...I'll give you the inside info..we Aussies don't get all upset if we can't understand that French lingo..after all i'm a real Aussie and we only speak Australian. Well time to start the BBQ because my stomach is groaning and I could do with a few sausages and drink a couple cans of beer before I go crazy. Got my sunglasses with my case (24 cans) of beer and stubby holder (an insulated holder for one can or small bottle of beer..see pic below lolll). What a fantastic afternoon this will be.

Giff can answer re the weight of his 75; my Bassman 25 is 33#. Twice the weight of my R40. IDK whether it's the wood or the shape of the kickback cab, but now that it's fixed I'll be using it a lot more. (ETA) yes, I know the 7ender badge is broken. Adds 'soul'-or I else I'm too lazy to replace it.

Oh, that’s better. My ma used to make the most delicious American Fries for supper. Browned in a skillet with salt and pepper, they are hot and perfect with a dollop of ketchup. Next to a couple of fried eggs, cooked bacon, and toast, you could skip lunch!

Highly recommend a dash(or 2)of hickory smoked salt-if ya can find it.

Yep Mike they certainly improved the Rumble line with the Ver. 3, especially the weight and still able to keep the punch. This V2 Rumble 75 is quite heavy actually, at twice the heft of the current Rumble 100 V3 at 46 lbs. (or 20.87 kg). I actually struggle to lift it over anything in my path Onehanded when carrying it alongside my right kneecap..its a formidable weight for such a smallish package...SOLID WEIGHTY AND PUNCHY.

Pedantic question. Grits: singular or plural?

You can't have one grit, ergo "grits" is singular. Which complicates the question of "grits are good" (which sounds correct to the English-speaking ear), or "grits is good" (which is correct as the singular).

Baked cheesy grits with jalapeno is Solid, Weighty, and Punchy. Shrimp and grits. Grits and red eye gravy. They did not serve me grits in rehab! Wait, what?
