Yeah, it doesn't seem like a combo to me either for the reasons others mentioned. That doesn't make it a bad thing, though.

No worries. I have a few more mainstream qualifiers to keep me legal here 
Just wanted to provoke thought and experimentation. It seems to be working.
I imagine a rig composed of my separate components, including modeling and wireless integrated at the design level and optimized for flat voicing.
It would qualify as a combo AND have the ability to multiply boxes easily to add power.
A few items on the market recently seem to be moving in a similar direction.

Yes! We're honored to have you as a Fellow Combo Clubber, #72, @ghostinthemach. I, for one, remember your Fender V1 Rumble 60 combo (with the Fender Mustang Floor pedal) from a previous post.
It certainly is working, unlike my question for info about my old '71 EMC combo. (sigh)
I'm not sure that putting components "around" a combo (or two) would qualify the rig, in general, as a combo. But, certainly, any such "combos-at-heart" are interesting to see. Keep 'em coming!

The Rumble Stage & Studio is a manufactured version of your Rumble with the Mustang pedal.
??? What kinda boxes you talking about adding? The 800 has got stereo FX Send/Return and you can add one 4 ohm extension cab, or one-or-two 8 ohm cabs!

So from what I'm seeing is a veto by the club to include ghost's EV cab with various goodies on top of it. Done. We do thank ghostinthemach for participating in what we call, "Create Your Own Combo!" Gotta give him an A+ for effort though. For me in the future, if the Batman pouch is involved I'm probably gonna vote for it.

I think you can add boxes and such and it can still be a combo, but it has to be a combo at the heart, or starting point, of the build/rig. For example, I'm adding 'boxes' to my combo, including another combo, to get the tone I want. I plan to add some more boxes, but it is nonetheless a combo (or two?) as the foundation.

No, haven't heard a thing from him. He began a with a great idea, but sometimes you get busy and tyhe club dries up. I happened to come upon it and felt compelled to resurrect it. Good luck provided me with a really nice bunch of new and old members and here we are. Thanks for stopping in.
I took my Silverado Special back to church so I could record its tone there.

As I said once before, that is an SWR amp, no doubt about it.Yeah, it's a biggun, but the tone you got out of it is one you're looking for. I will leave at it home because I like it too much to leave it at church. My SWR will be my travel amp. Literally, thank God it has wheels because I wear myself out carrying it!

Nah, but my visits during the weekdays will be considerably hampered. Thank goodness for nights and weekends!
