Great sounding bass, especially the B string notes..lovely. Great bass player in that clip too.
I love the underlying spalted finish on your bass (the lines running through the wood is a form of wood colouration caused by fungus..I have a spalted maple top on a Hofner look alike beatle bass i'm constructing..see picture I included of an example of what mine will look like when complete. I love the look of the spalted finish.)
Same legs and 'case' as a Vox Continental organ.

I've started the process of customizing one of my Ignitions, but that project has slowed down. I might take it up again in the summer.

How ya been? We’ve got our first week done and it wasn’t half bad. Good pacing and the kids didn’t try to kill me. I’d say it was a winning week.
I’m still feeling terrible about Neal Peart’s Death. Been listening to Rush all weekend. Life cut short by cancer. He seemed like such a nice, quiet guy and what a percussionist.
I saw Foreigner here in Adelaide April 1995 on their Mr. Moonlight Tour and Lou Gramm sounded great but by 1997 on the start of a tour of Japan he was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour..it may have been benign but the drugs used to treat it for the recovery program added 100lbs body weight, damaged his pituitary gland and affected his stamina and voice. Basically ended his career although he still sings in his own band now so these darn brain tumours can be also deadly. He lived though but it changed him.

The first week was good! I was anxious last Monday morning, but I really like what I'm teaching this term so it should be good.
I listened to Rush all night last and played the few Rush songs I still remember. It also motivated me to start a thread on Talkbass about the best Prog band. I don't usually start threads, but when I do it's usually a Saturday night when I'm a bit tipsy.

You just keep up that weekend alcohol intake to keep yourself warm there Doc..I use it to keep cool..loads of ice in my Southern Comfort and Coke please bartender loll
My path to home/bass was piano, 7-16, clarinet/bass clarinet/saxes, 11-18. Joined USN as a saxist/clarinetist, 18 -22, picked up bass during Navy time @ 21 +/-. I've been mostly on bass, with occasional keys/sax/flute doubling since then 'til now(74).
To quote a Leo Sayer song..You're A One Man Band there GP..talented musician I would hazard a guess.
I know a little about a lot. Very rusty on everything but bass due to not playing the others, thus no chops. My keyboard playing mostly consisted of holding chords so the guitar man could go nuts-it filled holes. AFA the horns, I never had great technique but I made up for it with mediocre tone.

Loll ok..well when you get her shoot us over a pic and i'm sure the boss will offer you a membership number to the club. I also have a little 75w Fender Rumble tiltback with a 12" speaker..possibly a similar looking type amp to the Hartke..is the Hartke a 500w?
