Ever since a few f---* ups, everything in the halftime extravaganzas is pre-recorded. I've seen "live" band performances that had guitarists/bassists moving their fingers quite differently from what was being heard. And invisible horn sections.

I remember Burt Sugerman's The Midnight Special from the 70's. I like to look up the best of on YouTube.

One giveaway for me is when the concert version sounds exactly like the studio version.

Well, I dunno. Remember, we have been thoroughly and collectively criticized for not discussing combo amps enough to suit someone. I believe their assessment was that this thread was 90% non-combo related, after reviewing the last 3-4 pages at that time. That's 60-80 of the over 7,000 posts back then. Gee, I hope the sargent-at-arms is keeping a tally and will alert us before we ever get that unacceptable again.

Thank you, Balog, for sharing this interesting post. Wouldn’t ya love to know how the hole got into the speaker? On the other hand, maybe not.

Sometime you’re bored, crank it up and see if you hear anything foul. If not, I’d say you’ll be fine. It’s too good an amp to toss aside.
