Hello? Hellooooooo? Gee, maybe they're all secretly getting a surprise birthday party together for me in the Great Hall of Bass and they don't want me to go in there. Why ruin the surprise, so I won't. I popped in to show you my new pedalboard and the pedals I currently own to stick on it. Or should I say, lack-of stick?
To remind ya'll, I'm new at this dedicated pedal game, thinking all those little metal boxes were for those not wise enough to buy a combo-like all-in-one multi-effects unit. Well, after running through probably my 7th or 8th multi-FX pedal, I decided to give specific pedals a chance with my Terror Bass/PJB/Ampeg trio.
So I ordered a Voodoo Labs Dingbat and installed the pedals this morning. It's what any respectable birthday boy (or girl) would do on a Saturday birthday. Here are some pics of the final result. Notice the OCD-like neatness of the wiring, above and below. Everything works great, though the power supply and I will be having a word or two after school because it wants to fall off as soon as I move it with any more force than "gently." Otherwise, not a hiccup and it is so nice to have everything all linked up with one AC cord coming out the side. I can't believe I waited until 60 to find out about such niceties. Tomorrow, I'm gonna take a spin in one of those new-fangled automobiles and see what I think of that...
BTW, I'll have the results to you concerning the motto vote tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. It's been quite hectic counting up the half-dozen votes, but I'm expecting a big flood of members dropping by to give me their choice. Operators are standing by.
And my JAN 12AT7 rolled in today, pardon the pun. I'm all set to retube the TB and, add the pedals to it, and let the fur fly. Kansas, this is your warning to prepare for seismic rumblings in the days ahead. See ya!
PS: the t-shirt reads, "My 60th Birthday...the one where I was Quarantined 2020" #2 will be forced to wear it in December as well.
