Well, first day of classes today and I'm already in isolation. A sore throat, runny nose and some aches emerged yesterday, so I'm legally required to isolate for 10 days. I have a Covid-19 test scheduled for Thursday and will get the results within a week of that. I feel like it is just a cold, but it is best to be safe.

We'll hope for the best Doc! Yes, I think there will be many false alarms this fall - fall ragweed really gets to me and the wife - allergies. Plus regular cold/flu season approaches. All can be confused for Covid - can't really know unless you get swabbed.
For sure, and I don't want to put anyone else in danger. As one of my colleagues said yesterday, "it could be nothing, but if it is Covid it could lead to shutting down the whole college if precautions are not taken". So I am at home until I find out what it is.

I start rehearsals with a new band soon. I’m thinking that my Phil Jones Super Flightcase might not cut it. Very underpowered even with the powered extension cab.

It’s a different sort of tone than the Phil Jones stuff, but if your ears like it, your back and wallet will love it even more.

While I can't speak to the PJB Super Flightcase, I surprised myself last evening with just how much sound pressure I get out of the BG-400 and C4. Enough to get open strings ringing. In fairness that's right up close, yet ... By all accounts the R500 is capable of a whole lot of loud, and a bargain too
PJB seems overly fussy (and underpowered for 500w driving two cabs). All I own is a passive P. All I want from an amp is a solid meat-and-potatoes sound that will keep up with a drummer.
I wish the Rumble 500 combo came as a 1-15. I just know that the 200 wouldn’t be enough for me. But I know 2-10 can sound good. Not too keen on 12” bass cabs.
I have a 200C. It's capable of more loud than I've ever needed.
Tone is largely a matter of taste, to be sure - as is speaker preference. That said, you’d be surprised at the low end you can get from the 10" drivers in the Rumble 500. There’s also plenty of power - the 500 can carry a good-sized venue unaided, and with your P-bass, it will positively shine.
If you need to get even louder, you can always get a Rumble 115 cab, and get the best of both worlds.

After checking out the 2-10 vs. 1-15 Rumble extension cab thread, I'd probably get a 2-10 extension cab if absolutely necessary. 4-10s can sound great.
But my preference would be a combo that would carry most of the water unless I had to go FOH. I'm just so done with fussy.
