Yep, ditto. I have yet to try all my basses with the D4, but of those I've run it with, they all play just fine. Fingers crossed!

Call me crazy, but I find some pieces of equipment either work well or don’t depending on what my ears hear.
Back in my home audio days, you could hook up a pair of speakers to an amp that, on paper, are terrific pieces, but just don’t mesh, sonically-speaking.
On the other hand, two units that you may not have considered to work together will shock you. For example, the Orange Terror and Fender 115. Yeah, I bought the Rumble cab while being suspect they’d naturally click, and was happily surprised when I hooked ‘em up.
M, what do ya think about a second 115 cab for a full Orange rig or two 115s and the 210 Stage 800? Those cabs are so reasonably-priced it’d be dumb not to have a couple around the house.
That little firecracker seems to be the exception to that particular rule and I totally agree with your assessment. I can’t say that about many others.

Definitely an interesting subject - however, for me, it's generally a matter of dialing up the right EQ setting for different basses. I'll have a setting for my Jazz and another for the Precision - that fits the particular amp I may be playing. And, as you know, very subjective as what sounds sweet to me, may be sour to you!

Are they stock wound, 5% over or under wound? I've got the 5% overwounds in my P - hot, punchy yet warm with traditional thump and VERY present in the mix! You've achieved Precision nirvana and I salute thee!

That's a beauty. I think I'll have to find a reverse someday. Speaking of the headstock, that might be the smallest T-Bird headstock I've seen. I was going to riff off of your headstock joke that snapping off a Thunderbird headstock might be the best way to keep it from diving for the floor, but that one looks just about perfect.
