Thanks for asking, Recon, the deed is done. 14 conferences in two nights (and that's off about a third compared to past years), but they are officially in the books. Many took between 10-15 minutes; only the last one began at 7:10 and lasted until 7:50. I almost missed the debate!
Right now I'm enjoying my first of three incredible-to0be days off, or at least until Sunday when I'll need to make plans for next week. It's all good because I'm acting like my GOF self today barring any human under the age of 18 to even speak to me...unless it's a grandkid, and they only get ten minutes!

Wow, Recon, I wasn't expecting this image to be as scary as I found it. I mean, sheesh, your index finger looks absolutely dwarfed by your regularly-gauzed thumb. I hope it plumps up like the rest of your bass-playing fingers. Wishing you only the best!
And yes, for those with finely-tuned magnifiers, an updated avatar with my P mated to the Rumble 100. In case you've been out of the country or have more pressing issues, I'm circling the bases with my Precision and each of my amplifiers. I promise I should be done sometime in November...
At this point I have to throw in my rousing support of "Seven Nation Army" just cause it's a super simple line that still drives the song forward. I think that's poetry. I've played it by myself a few times, but sadly, not with any other players.All great stuff, Recon. Two fifth grade boys and I did SNA two years ago at our end of the year talent show. Being I was the guitarist as well as the bassist l, I fuzzed my Jazz up pretty well and along with only drums (ya gotta be authentic) rocked that pup out. Our singer turned into a wild man on stage, thus allowing no one to notice any bad notes. Of course, with all that fuzz, how would ya know?
The only Queen I’m messing with right now is Dragon Attack. Why? Because I love sore fingers at the end of a song! I love the opening and wanted to learn it, but can’t play the line up to speed without tripping over myself. Still, a lotta fun.
Great Scorps tune too. Give “Still Loving You” a shot if you’re yearning for another ballad that still rocks.
Whatever ya do, keep having fun!

And "Dragon Attack" is a kickin' song! I used to play that in one of my rock bands, and really appreciated how hard it is to get that laid-back groove to slide into the track just so. It seems like it's easy, and the notes are, but the way that it holds back the momentum of the rest of the song is tricky to master. And that bass solo? Ded cool.

I really like my 115. I can say for sure that it can get loud with the best of ‘em and definitely gives you that Ampeg sound. It worked out great with a bunch of guys playing 70s rock really loud and aggressively!
The only time I could have used more power was outside during a bonfire. That’s why I’m considering getting a second one and making a stack...but the real reason is these guys played WAY too loud. It wasn’t the BA115s fault!

It went quite well. Stuck in the cast for 2 weeks, still splinted for two more after that, pin removal at one month-ish, and therapy soon after. Right now, I’m just really happy that my nerve block wore off and my arm is once more mobile...

Agreed, RR! Dragon Attack is great finger exercise too, but with the kind of music I really like playing at my age, I don’t see a band with me in it sweating the details too soon. For all you kids out there though, go for it!
Heck, I was working on Here, There, and Everywhere this afternoon. Of course I was rocking to My Old School, by Steely Dan too, so there ya go.
