You all are funny when it comes to temperature. Where I live it is winter 6 months of the year. Right now it is -12 c or 10.4 F.

I didn't know the title 'til I asked Prof. Google. And I don't have "The Real Book"*. I've known and played GDS for ~50 years. IDK if I've ever seen the sheet music.
* and I've never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express

Fort McMurray Alberta.Where are you?
Western North Carolina here, about 1700 feet up, rolling mountains, decent weather. If I still had my BMW instead of my Kia Soul I'd be more fun.Which is why I live here-and many Canadians come down ~November-ish('cept maybe not this year).

Sixth edition people! Where are you?
Oilers or Flames?Fort McMurray Alberta.
Second or fifth are standard issue kit in what passes for my world. IIRC sixth edition also has no Zappa, ain't nobody got time fo dat. You haven't lived until you've seen somebody sight read Peaches En Regalia completely cold, including the horn parts, asking "did it really go that way?" here and there along the way.![]()

Sixth Edition has Night Train, which even I can sightread![]()
The big band bass part to "Harlem Nocturne" is, uhhh......interesting.Heh, always love hearing Ray Brown's take on that. One of my old bandmates did that one without ever playing the actual melody...what the what?

I’ll bet that Phil Jones is awesome, Contessa. 350w into four 5s is crazy!Just that ye may see just how a Phil Jones BG-400 combo stacks up against a real human being, there is this previously unpublished photo from my shoot.

That's a full 350 watts driving four 5 inch Piranha speakers. Whatever that means. All the math guys in the world are hard pressed to explain why it works so bloody well. I don't know why it works so well. It's deep and it's loud. Deceptive that way, too, because the gain and volume pots are useful through their entire range.
I'm "back at it" in retirement. Took a normal music education as a child with piano and saxophone. Finished university and took a year at music school. And saw to a life, and a career, and here now fresh out of Ari Cap's Music Theory for the Bass Player 2020 cohort. Returning for the 21 cohort and anticipate my time spent during the Thing That's Going Around will have its fair returns.
Yes!I used to give out boxed sets of the DVD (remember those days?) of Firefly to friends and family. So far, I've had a number of "I wish I would have known about this when it was on TV!" and one, "meh, not as good as Star Wars."
To each their own.
As far as The Tick, I've seen two versions of the show. One cartoon, one live action. I understand a second live action version came out. I'm guessing that may be the one you mean?
SPOOOOOONNNN!

Do you think it could take a small drum kit?
Yes!
The reason I brought up the Tick is because Alan Tudyk is the voice of Danger Boat in the live one.
Oh yeah!!!
That’s a deal!
How do you like it?
Adding the C4 extension ups the ante to 500 watts and that combo will handle any indoor venue that's not death metal loud, IMO. Oh, I know. We had two 3 series and a Z4 back in the working days and an X3 and X5. I wasted too much $$$$$. Oh well...Thank you for that reminder of how I miss my BMW M3.
