The Combo Club

Huh? Wha...? When did I...? Wait a minute! I didn't post that!! Hey, mickey, what are you doing putting @stegosaurusjohn's words in my mouth? How did you even do that?!? Hmmm... ... . . .

Now let me see ... ...

Why, thank you. You make me blush. :p
.

Thank you, Your now Ex-Excellency. I promise to be an awesome SR Fearless Leader!

Alright, you Comboites! On your toes! There's a new regime in town. Heh heh heh ... ...

Who's turn was it to make sure the Dog took his pills today? Will the one responsible for this, please get him on a leach an take him for a long walk, before he gets overexcited. :rollno:

It’s my wish that they hold onto the Ampeg mojo, the growl, the “manly” Ampeg bass authority [whatever the devil that means; I read it in an article years ago]. Refinement and consistency I think will be the future of Ampeg. I believe that Yamaha MI gets it and they won’t do what has been done to other brands in the past, like CBS engineers treating the iconic Fender blackface series as hi-fi gear or what Thomas Organ did to Vox.

All excellent points, ‘Rambler. Yamaha has the opportunity to take an iconic brand and, as you said, take it to the next level in design, options, and customer satisfaction. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

ah crap. I was afraid that the power would eventually go to his head and he'd stage a coupe. OK, all we need to do now to stop him is

Ah, let him go, Rod. He’s having fun trying out the throne. Anyway, ‘Dog’s got his hands full with the Rumbler Club. That’s like 100,000 members asking for Wiki updates 24/7. 007 is The Man!

I'm still trucking along with my sounds from, the Epi EB-0, and the Fender Rumble 100 C. Jack Bruce had his famous sounds from the Gibson EB-3, running mostly through the Marshalls, that were a copy of Fender Bassman heads, by Jim Marshall.

west al, that’s a night fine-looking rig ya got there. I like my hollow-bodied violin bass with the 100 combo, and I assume it’s just as nice with your Epi.

I’m not at my computer to look up our roster, but if you haven’t signed up with us yet, let me know if you’d like a membership number. If you have already done so, you’re the smartest bass player in the cosmos!

Chill out, Your Ex-Excellency. I'll handle this. ;)

@west al, I see your Signature says you are Comboite #131 & Rumbler #131! (Quite a co-inky-dink!) That means you have changed your username from @gsgbass, and before that from @Mr.Nylon, right? You know that kinda thing confuses some already-overstressed number issuers don't you?

Well, anyway, welcome back.

Hmm...Mr. Nylon, I remember him. He joined around the same time as Mr. Cheese, if I remember.

Thanks, G’Dog. A Fearless Leader could get used to this real quick. BTW, the recycling bucket looks full...:)

I had some issues that I didn't appreciate with the previous two names. I'm still the same old man I was before, just getting older with west al, as the name. The smartest bass player in the cosmos? NAAHHHHH!!!

Yeah, you’re probably right. How about the “angriest bass player in the cosmos” instead? You look as if you’re about to unload the Packer loss in that poor bass. Say it isn’t so! :jawdrop:

You really pegged that one about the “angriest bass player in the cosmos”, because of the PACKERS loss!

Ah, Packer loss, that’s a relief!

I thought he was just pausing to see if that super-annoying band member was fully down for the count, or needed another good whack...

I remember being that frustrated at times, when on the road with some of the others.

I knew it, I knew it. The good news is now you don’t have to watch Rodgers get embarrassed by the Chiefs. That honor goes to Brady and I can’t wait!

Funny how the Chiefs, and the Bills were both coached by the same head coach for some time in the past. Marv Levy. If the Packers were to have played the Chiefs, the two participants of Super Bowl One, would have had another go at it.

Mmmm ... whifffff ..sszzzz iiiissss ...mm..mmummby, iissszat rrriiittt? Huh?

Hmmmph! I said, my wife says it's Monday. Is that right? What happened to Sunday? I don't remember there being a Sunday yesterday. Yesterday was Saturday, wasn't it? Oh, gggeeeezz ... .. ..

With the current nearly total lack of schedule, I have no idea wuttinnahell day it is mosta the time.

Yeah, that too, Goner. But establishing the current day, & even the date, is one of the ways the wife & I keep each other coherent and on time for the occasional medical appointment(s). Mrs. Dog says I successfully passed that test yesterday morning, even reviewing this week's appointment, but I have no recollection of it, or anything else yesterday.

Now I just reviewed my TB posts from yesterday and all I can say is I'm sorry for any offense given. I didn't even have any alcohol yesterday! Mrs. Dog says it coulda been a mini-stroke! Thanks, honey, for trying to cheer me up. (sheesh!) :rollno:
