The Combo Club

I plan on hitting the slopes shortly and the goal is to finish cleaning off the driveway.
Spread the word that they are giving away CCC badges at your address. The herd of people standing at your door will solve your snow problem in seconds by their own feet. When you see your driveway is cleared, you open your door and tell them that they got the address wrong and you think it must be next door... Problem solved.... no chiropractors involved and more time to play bass. :hyper:

That's devious and dishonest.:eyebrow:
And brilliant.

You need to "oil the squeaking wheel" of your neighbor with the snow plow ;).

Hey SR! Duly noted, but we think he’s working because his place hasn’t been touched as of yet. JM and I are heading out for Round 2 in order to finish up an area we left before lunch. Then I think that’ll do it. I’m guessing six, but Mrs. FL is estimating eight. Either way, a poke in the eye is more fun to deal with.

Thanks for the advice though...enjoy your Cali weather!

Hmm, I like it. A little deceitful, kinda kooky, probably would never work...perfect! Quite Swinky if you ask me.

We're getting up to two inches of rain over the next few days. At least where we are, we don't have to shovel it...some in the burn areas are being evacuated due to possible mud slides. Mud is heavier than snow :(.

That doesn’t sound like any fun at all. If the state could be spared of fires for a few summers maybe there’d be fewer mudslides. Here’s hoping you can avoid all of that drama!

Gig tonight at a Bus type RV showroom. The place is kinda like a big @$$ hangar except nicer. Gonna use the NR TBird>Rumble 200cv3. Lotsa air to be moved. They don't want us to be loud so that the guests can talk without yelling while sitting at the tables on the far side of the rented dance floor.
Jazz/dinner music for ~1 1/2 hours, ceremonies, then dancing 'til 10-ish. It'll either be a lotta fun or possibly a

Old time movie? Funny, I didn’t see they one coming. Good playing g and I old you have a fun time keeping the low end a coming.

Whoo!! I have been busy, but thankfully have had time to play bass at least. I’ve pretty much got all my attack speed back after surgery (fingerstyle, index and middle.). I’m also moving into more complicated lines, which is a lot of fun. I’m working on “Nothing Else Matters” (Metallica) and “Love Hurts” (Nazareth). Both slow songs, but with lots of movement around the fretboard to help build muscle memory in different positions.

OK, not a train wreck. Easy(if long)gig, good money, excellent food. R200cv3 was more than sufficient. If we go back, I'll take the R100.

Good for you, Recon, glad you're back to playing some bass. I'll bet it feels great. You deserve it for the time you took to get back to playing-shape again. Carry in and don't look back, but try not running your hand into a brick wall or anything!

You had me at food...

Glad you had a good time. You're sure though that the 100 will be enough? If they catch wind you guys are going back and fill up the place, you may wish you had your tweeter to crisp up the highs being soaked up by all the dancers on the floor. My only complaint with the 100, and I do love it, its lack of punch in the upper mids, and yes, I do extend that frequency with its tone control. You know better than me, but I'd weigh it before trying. BTW, what was your volume control set at tonight? I know you were going low, but I was curious.

I know you’re not a fan of the tweeter, but you did use your bright button. I guess it’ll be on if you use the 100. I personally don’t mind that though, and I'll bet a whole glazed donut it’ll be on if you bring the 100. Yeah, it should work out for ya.
