Yeah the smallest possible amp for a gig feels counter-intuitive, yet makes sense. A combo makes a lot of sense when setup means plug one thing in for power. A combo with a post-EQ (wet) DI for a monitor, and FOH as needed. Assuming a proper FOH. And that's not a good assumption

I’m sure People are tired of us praising our little combo gems, but I have to follow your comment up with yet another praise of my own. I was using it last week and couldn’t get over how sweet the tone coming out of that box! I know there are those who don’t like “practice” amps, but you don’t know what you’re missing, AND you get a aux input volume control to boot! Never let this one go.
The Rocket RB-112 combo is 26 pounds ... okay ... oh but looks to kill. That's something I'd like to see on my stage.
I know, it’s a beaut, kicks out a solid hundred watts, is an easy schlep, and will sound like an Ampeg. For four bills, who can complain?
The Double-Four? We know by now it's as clean as a clean amp can possibly be.
The cleanest of clean, but a darned good platform if you’re in the mood to add pedals to it. Top-notch craftsmanship too.

OMG, M, make up your mind! You could always go with the 112 for the studio and the 115 for those small gigs. You can’t lose!

Well, lessee. Friday night: R200c, with possible R100 aimed toward the drummer. Saturday night: R100-could use R40 but 100 will still be in the van. Sunday Brunch: R100-same reason.

Thanks to the CC, it's finally dawned on me that my gig is exactly where I am, working the Music Theory for the Bass Player (volunteer) day job. What it feels like to me is a deepening where theory meets the fretboard. I had this same feeling the first time I actually understood the circle of fifths back at Musicians Institute. A year there feels too little ... and the bass went under the bed as I had a life to see to.
Here in lockdown with the rest of you, I "perform" and the dog and for the cohort. Need to get my ear on the ground ...
So what sits in between this PJB BG-400 combo and C4 cab, and the Elf and two Cab 27s? Lightest carry is 30 pounds for the Cab 27, and 40 pounds for the BG-400. Something for the smallest possible gig ...

A little explanation is warranted. When they provide the amp(s), it's 2 R100's-one facing the crowd, one aimed at the drummer(same for guitarist/BL's amps on the other side). So far, they aren't using monitors, only ambient sound offa pair of these(EV EVOLVE 50)
