The Combo Club

Good to know. I've always wondered how they are to work with. The one I've been looking at is from Chicago Music Exchange. That's where I bought the Precision from last summer and they were great to work with. $399 with free shipping. That's what's gonna get me through each day next school year; knowing I'm gonna buy a Hofner, but it's gonna have to fight the Rogue for the top spot in the stable because that little lady has become an extra appendage on me.

I've got the combo in the cart and have 42 hours to order it to have it here by 6.5.21. I hope the others who've pre-ordered either have or are getting close to claiming theirs. I'd feel really guilty to get one before them. Then I'd get over it real quick!

Later, Doc. Nice chatting with ya!
Just be certain you order the lefty version. Not as much demand for those so no guilt feelings.

Good evening, Comboites, it is your Fearless Leader here to soothe the savage beast with a sea shanty. This is my final contribution to the Corona Spezial Orchestra being my subscription has ended and I'm ready to get back to playing and recording with others who actually like Geddy Lee's bass tone. :woot: ... ... !

Where's Fearless Waldo? There he is! The centerpiece of his page!! Way to go!!

Thank you, kind sir. As much as I’d love to think he was showcasing the stellar bass play of a seafarers’ ditty, I think it has more to do with the shirt. Oh well, always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

The video's the thing!

M, the CC is beginning to make a video splash here on the Inter web. Next up, “How to Play Bass in the most Cantankerous Way,” by GP; “NBD...at some point,” by Tele and Red; and we can’t forget the latest from Doc Intrepid, “Watch me Attempt to Actually Wire Up my Rig!”

Yep, we are taking off with a blast! :hyper:

I meant the amp.;)

Oh. Never mind.

Anyway, scratch everything I wrote last night/this morning. Now I’m back to grabbing the Hofner and hanging onto my amps until I find the perfect one for it. Heck, Covid survival deserves something special, right?

Also, I may look more seriously at the Rocket Bass 112 instead of the 115. I think it’ll be better for recording than thr larger speaker, plus easier to tote around and still 100 watts when you need it. I’m a tad disappointed that they face the 115 only 100 watts instead of V2’s 150 watts. Then double it at 4 ohms and you’ve got more headroom available.

My Broughton HPF pedal is due to hit my door tomorrow. I’m very excited to see this lil guy show up as my Rumble 100 is in critical stage and failing fast with acute tubiness. As always, I’ll keep you posted on my experimental findings.

Oh yeah, kids went home for the summer and I’m done to this week and s couple of June days for curriculum writing. That means very soon I’ll be on throughout the day annoying as many of you as I can and continuing to add to the membership roster. I can’t wait! :)

Off to vacuum. No really, SR, I mean it. I’m actually gonna do house chores today. No getting out of it. Unless...

Lol. No one will likely get hurt, as I'm running my small rig these days (first pic).

As may be expected, since I taught mostly online this year my teaching station became integrated into my bass rig. All of the things in the second pic, including both screens, are connected. Sometimes I had to work as my son watched YouTube. I also play YouTube through my amp via my computer to practice.

[gasp!] You truly, and justly, wield the wisdom of the ancients, O mighty Fearless Leader.

Well! That sucks! At least, I hope it does. Otherwise it could take a lot longer. ;)

Doc, add a mini- fridge for cold beverages and you could spend the rest of your life there! Cool setup that works perfectly for you.

Thank you, 007, but alas, the only thing I’m wielding today is a vacuum, a toilet bowl brush, and wipes. It okay though. This way my massive ego stays in check. At least, that’s what #2 says.
