The Combo Club

Hi and yes I’d be honoured to have a number - thank you!

The pleasure is all mine. Ladies and gents, I'd like to introduce you to our 237th CC member, Hummergeist. He calls London home, but as long as the man owns a combo bass amp, his home is here! Welcome him as you would Morrighan's dog. I wanted to mention him too because he never gets a shout-out...

Let us know how that EBS sounds for ya as you get further into its capabilities. Thanks again for signing up with us. :bassist:

Three cheers for Morrighans dog.
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! :hyper:

and a very, very good dog he is!

Welcome aboard!!

Did you ever get your Bugera combo? Or did you decide to go in a different direction?

While waiting (patiently) for the Bugera to come in, I kept thinking, and thinking...Did I really want 50lb of awkward- shaped combo goodness?? I was already shopping around for a hand cart for it. I thought, “Wait a second, I don’t want a 50lb dinosaur!” With all of these neo combos clocking in at least 15lb lighter andy less weirdly-shaped than either the Bugera OR the Ampeg BA115, I decided I would have to re-calibrate.

I was about to pull the trigger on a Rumble 200 instead of the Bugera, when that same day I heard of the new Ampeg/Yamaha Rocket Bass combos on the horizon. Already having a rumble 40 (which is great!) I wanted to get in on the “bottom floor” of these cool looking combos. I called Sweetwater, and changed my pre-order from the Bugera to the Rocket Bass RB115.
I’ve had some overtime that I’ve been able to stash away to defray the xtra cost.

As of this afternoon, shipping has been pushed back a couple weeks from May to mid-June (yeah, yeah...:sour:). But I’ve waited this long, soooo...I’m looking forward to it, when it arrives!

I still think the Bugera is on back order as well- worldwide building and shipping delays...

and a very, very good dog he is!

Odin is one handsome Standard Poodle!! M- they are SO smart as well- as I’m sure you know;)- TWO bones at the market for him!!!:drool:

The Bugera's were on that container ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal.

I feel you on the weight of the Bugera it is heavy, but for me I think it's perfect. I do have a Markbass CMD 151p that beats it in every way (volume, tone, weight, looks ect...) The bugera is still a nice giggable combo that sounds great especially for the price.

After doing a bit of digging, I found that the Bugeras were not on that container ship. They, along with a new version of Thunderbird, are onboard the "Mary Celeste."

All the missing classical instruments are in the cargo hold of Der Fliegende Holländer.
