Ah ha, it’s not tone you don’t like, it’s the cost. So if G’Dog buys you a brand new Rocket Bass 210 this weekend , you’d be okay with it? (and you probably would too). Interesting.

No, it is the tone, but I'd take a free amp. Keep it as a backup in case something should happen to my good amp.

Regarding GCs all being empty...I'm sure most know about this, but post C19 even the supply chain issues have supply chain issues. Everything from cars to consumer goods are scarce. Shipping container costs tripling because they're all sitting at the wrong ports, the ports themselves causing 7-10 day delays, chips not available, lumber prices spiking, and a whole lot more. Massive cascade effect throughout almost every industry. Just in time manufacturing is basically screwed for the next year.
I feel lucky I managed to get the bass related gear I wanted this past year in the used market mostly. As a late starter and not a talented pro or advanced player like many here, I'm happy I'll be able to get some in person lessons soon if I can make the time.

Well said, Pro. I think many of us have taken for granted that whatever I desired would be there when I wanted it, The ‘Rona has shown us differently. We can only hope that in the next year, as you lamented, we dan begin to get favorite to a more normal rhythm and that even a GC can stock their shelves with merch again. Good points.

For all those curious but waited for me to look it up, as I vowed I would, here’s a sampling from one of our fine online sources. Not a bad price, good-looking, and I’ll bet puts our great sound. What’s not to like?

Yeah, that's it(in either "Smoked Almond Metallic" or "Sparkling Burgundy"). Ad says get it by June 14, but they aren't being shipped by Epi 'til November.

I never used the bridge pup on the Epi EB-3L, so my Epi EB-0 would/does sound the same.Had to listen to the Kasino before turning in! Would that Epi make a short scale EB-3.

If we ever do this outdoor gig-or one like it-I gots to, one last time, take out the Kasino and have someone record me playing the 1967 Non-Reverse Thunderbird IV being played through it. Freaking awesome.
Neck dive, INDEED!!! I just naturally cradle the neck with my left arm when not playing now!
That bridge “NYT” mini-bucker is pretty thin...I dial it in a bit just to add some edge if I dig in over the bridge- usually just play over the sidewinder pickup.
