It's a beast to move, but considering it's older than a lotta the folks on TB-and is 100% original-it sounds pretty dang good.
The first real bass I played was a Navy issue 65or6* Gibson EB-3. I only used the neck pup(yes, I tried the bridge pup-Neck dive, INDEED!!! I just naturally cradle the neck with my left arm when not playing now!
That bridge “NYT” mini-bucker is pretty thin...I dial it in a bit just to add some edge if I dig in over the bridge- usually just play over the sidewinder pickup. View attachment 4296075

BTW, at the risk of being redundant(or repeating myself), I'm the Kasino's original owner, purchased 6/5/70. Yeah, I still have the sales slip.
Did you tell us that last year as you celebrated a half-century with the same combo? Man, mine are lucky if they make half a year. Well, a belated 51-year happy birthday, Kasino! I was nine, heading to ten the very next week and you were already laying down the bottom end. Sheesh!

Thank you, instrumentalist, my brain comes up with these ideas and this forum is the perfect place to toss them out there. while it is a good idea, the chances of it happening would be equivalent to Morrighan selling all her musical equipment to become a dental hygenist to the stars.
But why couldn't it happen? Preamp tubes are all the rage right now and that'd be one way of spicing up the Rumble line. Admittedly, the line is in pretty good shape as it is, but that's why my idea works. A joint venture with the Noritake Itron Corporation (Nutube's Dad) and voila! we have an interesting take on the Rumblers for 2022. Yes, there may have to be some Vox negotiations in case they have sole rights, but if you're Fender you make it happen. The move legitimizes Noritake and Fender now has a reliable, long-lasting tube circuit in their combos.
Or put a dang JJ 12AX7 in each combo and call it a day...

Honestly, given FMIC vs Korg, my money's on Korg, especially as Korg will also have Yamaha's backing. Push came to shove, those two could probably buy a controlling interest in Noritake Co and slam the door.
