So I checked out the pedals and, yes, Korg is moving ahead with Nutube. An OD with tone controls and tubey vibe could make for a possible pedal addition for someone looking to warm up their tone a bit. I didn’t see any pricing, but would guess maybe between one and two Franklins.
Uhh...no. He WAS on the half-dollar but that ended in the early sixties (I looked it up). Nah, we’re talking greenbacks, GP, C-notes. I don’t see them as often as I’d like to, but I’m content.
Looks like there are also entries from Mission and Ibanez. Just searched Nutube pedal on Reverb and they seem to range from $180-$280
Gimme the Beatnik Fashion (tho' I do see the lure of the '60s).
Good investigative reporting there, Protagonist. So it looks as if you are paying boutique prices for a so-called boutique pedal. Shouldn’t be much of a surprise, but if they sound good then beauty is in the eye of the pedal holder!

I notice from TB post people get most particular about overdrive and fuzz, and the space between. Pretty sure there are a couple combo amps with a tube pre.

Well thank you, my favorite west coast bass buddy! Ya know, I’m a fairly introverted leader of millions and don't like to call attention to myself or anything, but I greatly appreciate the sentiment and plan on smoking the nearest chimney I can get my hands on! Do you think a dry rub would be better or go either the secret sauce?

Finally, I sold the Foxy One today to a nice guy from DeKalb named Dan. He’s excited about it and it’ll get some use now. Everyone went away happy. That’s the law on my b’day!

I’m gonna take a wild one and say an Epi bass clarinet. I think you had been talking about getting back into big band tunes not that long ago and I think Epiphone made some killer low-end licorice sticks. How close am I?
