Preach it, Man! My left thumb and I aren’t even on a first name basis any longer. It is interesting that it’s both our left thumbs, yet we play opposite. I blame it on my anchoring the neck pickup. What caused yours?
Prolly from the way I useta hold the steering wheel in the big truck(s). Right hand to shift or hold the CB mic.
Well no one can fault ya for that. The fact you’re still playing bass at gig level gives us all hope.

Similar to GP, developed arthritis in my left shoulder from long habit of carrying the tools of my trade* in my attache, and a carry-on with enough clothing &c for the week. And completed a superb course on the best strap for shoulder pain with a heavy bass before I was properly diagnosed and ported to physical therapy. It's in PT I realize I carry habitual tension in my shoulder because of that. Back in Real Life ™ I remain on the watch for tension in that shoulder. It takes time.

The steel old pica pole in agate — 72.254 points to the inch — raises too many questions at airport security. I was really proud of that line gauge, as it was made for a typesetter company and had their name on it. That's styling to a certain set of people

Update: hit the hay last night instead of playing, but I’ve got some time this AM to noodle before things get busy.
Update update: not my regular SW tech is kinda pushing me to "get on a list" for when the Embassy's come in. Nope. Not while I'm still mulling over whether it's really a good idea to get one. I don't actually 'need' it. Emailed back "I'll pass-for now." First time I've felt any pressure from them.
They're all in catch-up mode, baby. They know you have millions in Covid money stashed away and they want it. I don't blame ya for waiting. If enough ship and you hear some decent reviews, then buy one. Otherwise, as Mick says, time is truly on your side. I myself am waiting one full year before the next bass purchase. That'll be the retirement present from me, my favorite benefactor. The question is, do I go for the Hofner as previously mentioned, or do I make a grab for the Epi Jack Cassidy hollow-body? Hmm...decisions decisons.

6 or 8 weeks ago I emailed SW asking if they could order a neck from fender CS(I know you can't now). Now this person Deanna Hopper from SW finally answers---
