The Combo Club

Hey SR! Heading out to do some weeding (what else is new?). I’m selling the R100 this afternoon for a paltry amount. This guy was good which meant bad for me! Oh well, it clears some space.

Well, even a paltry amount is better than nothing, especially when you gave it a good shot and moved to something that satisfies that "itch"...

No idea what is being said but... yeah

And we love you for that, BB! Nothing better for a club to be represented worldwide. BTW, might it interest you we're thinking of colonizing Mars with a Combo Club hideaway station? Very exclusive. Only those wanting to get "away" from the hassles here on Earth need apply. Kick it around and let us know if you'd like to go. I believe G'dog will be the flight commander. He needs a new challenge and his foreign language skills might come in handy if there are other bass players already there. :bassist:
Yes sir! I take that assignment my FL - not living that far from mars :ninja: (looking from the left side of the pond).
I'm learning 'Disco Ulyssis' - we could try playing that up there, and make them dance, yeah !

Fair question.

As you have most likely figured out, a lot of members and lurkers stop by, but there’s probably a dozen or so regulars who visit frequently. Besides talking combos, we kick around whatever is on someone’s mind, be it basses, war stories, or a good teasing about something.

When I resurrected the club a number of years ago I was the 51st member. Two hundred comboites later we’ve grown, but are still a bunch that doesn’t take ourselves too seriously, treat everyone with equal respect, and try not pooping on other musicians’ gear.

So I became the Fearless Leader of the club and carry that banner with pride and the determination to keep the club moving forward. I tend to call people by their initials like GP, SR, and M. So I’m FL or way back when, G’Dog used to call me iago.

Now if you’re interested in becoming the next FL, all ya gotta do is step up and say you want it. I planned on at least one more year before retirement, but I can always be persuaded. Let me know.

FL
Whoever comes back from mars, I reckon, could become the next FL :smug:

Hi, YellowLabs.
Post a pic of your newly acquired SWR and our FL will be with you in a .... euh... whenever he finds time to welcome new members by donating them their number.
But for now... lean back and enjoy the ride....

photos will have to wait a few days, amp hasn’t arrived yet, still in shipping.

In the meantime, which way to the Mediocre Bass Players Club??
