The top and bottom of the PJB Cab 27 is carpet, and the sides and back are smooth and solid. A Halloween or so ago, found black place mats with silver-threaded "spider webs". Cut and finished one to fit the top of a cab. That's where the Elf goes, with a no-slip pad underneath

I have both cats and carpeted cabinets. No problems so far.
The law as written is blue skirt, white cat. Every time.

Oh, you kids and your carpets! I much prefer tolex, wet papers towels, or lettuce leaves to rat fur, but must admit my current Markbass combo’s covering has been rugged and reliable. Who’d a thunk it?

Hey are there any standard size amps that hang on the back of combo amps? I have an SWR Bassic Black with a fried amp that was removed by the tech a long time ago and is gone.
The space it would fit in is
16 3/4” W
8 1/2” H
3 1/2” D
The original speaker was upgraded and I’d like to find a replacement amp with more power.

Hmm. Interesting question. I know there used to be rack mount bass amps/heads, but I hadn't noticed any advertised in quite a while. And not sumpin' I'd be looking for either.

I’ve been listening to your positive experiences with PJ cabs etc. I have been thinking about that Cab 27. 200w cab, 8 ohm, reasonably priced. Hmm I wonder if it might play well with the Ampeg RB-115, or is that just silly thinking?
It would be an odd couple, but it just may bring out the best of both together.
I would like to try it before I order a cab out to the desert, but…

The PJB Cab 27 and Cab 67 are rear-ported, and the C2 /C4 / C8 cabs are front ported. The C2 would have been my first choice had it been available when the Elf was in need of its own cab. Ported cabs benefit greatly from a HPF
A TB'er remarked PJB gear is a bit like Apple. A bit weird, but once you get it, you get it. Two C8s and any 800 watt amp will melt faces.
The BG-400 combo I glommed on to is first-tier engineering, and easy to see the same in the Double Four.
Oh nearly forget, the C2 pairs with the BG-120 Bass Cub Pro combo

the Little Mark amps come to mind. Would fit in the hole you have. Designed to be inside an enclosure. It’s only about 11” wide so you would have to figure out a mount of some sort.

Ummm- that looks Great!!! 120W/240W with 8 ohm ext. FIVE band EQ, more ins and outs than a craps table. Aux in level, wet/dry FX loop mix…WOW.
I’ll bet it sounds as cool as it looks! That “chrome dome” technology is something I can embrace (although I like a good 15” cab for bass, I’m WAY open to ridiculously cool tech that works!! I can’t afford 1050 Spacebucks right at the moment. Arizona Music Pro in Flagstaff (on Rt 66
) has some used PJB stuff, and that Cub Combo might be one of them. I think it was red. 
I DO have plans to sell a few items. Depending on what shakes out, that Cub Combo may become part of a trade-in at the “local” brick and mortar. (125 miles (-200km) and 2+1/2 hrs away.
