As a German expat in Belgium, my French is mediocre to say the least, but isn't gauche written with an A ?In French you can distinguish between LE Gouche and LA Gouche....male and female left. Gender neutral left should then be straight ahead.

Coming from Latin, I would have said gaucha is the female of a gauchoI thought "gauche" was female for "gaucho".
Aye, the green thingy on top of the Ampeg combo is an Elf. Under the Ampeg combo are two Elf-powered PJB Cab 27s. I kind of run the Elf and the PJB BG-400 combo differently.
With the PJB combo, the gain stage is maxed to just below the clipping limit, and adjust the master to need. Very, very clean. With the Elf, the master is maxed and the gain is adjusted to need. Also very clean. Bringing up the gain on the Elf brings it more into D-class "toob" tones. Dime the gain on the Elf for an express train to DistortionTown (that's intentional).
With the VT Bass in the signal chain, able to coax fairly reasonable Ampeg tones out of all three rigs.
The scrubs were a parting gift from my ̶t̶o̶r̶m̶e̶n̶t̶e̶r̶s̶ loving physical therapists following bilateral knee replacements in 2018. The top is pretty comfortable. There's a left breast pocket for the working end of a stethoscope, plus two shallow pockets at the bottom.
Now it may be that I've plenty of time of late to observe nurses at work. The wrecking ball that connected with me did not knock me all the way to ICU, and grateful for that. What it did do is put me off one full week of practice

That's pretty close to home
Mission Control blew my mind
it's the StingRay that is the first widely available active bass, and that blew my mind too. That first amp for my Ray was a combo. Would need to think hard and long to tell you what it was. Seems to me that little amp was liberated from me
well ̶m̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ this is a very young /me and there's a certain cavalier carelessness about what the world is and isn't. That amp's replacement is the venerable Peavey TNT 100 combo. That amp worked hard.
About four decades down the road and the Peavey's final journey (in my world, anyway) is as a pay it forward freebie to a friend's son. It's loud, he says.
Didn't stop combo'ing, as is plain to see.

I recall Bill Kreutzman said he was never happy drumming under those speakers.
Safety standards were quite different in '74 ! I wouldn't like to play drums under several 100kgs of speakers

If there will be no amps to sell next month, they have to make the money now. If they can get the parts, the prices on them are higher.I am not discounting supply chain difficulties in Fenders price increases. I do wonder why they increased prices on current stock. In addition, unless they have to prepay, if they can't get the parts, they do not know what they will cost until someone makes and delivers them. Maybe its like when someone sneezes at an oil refinery and the local gas stations increase their prices the same day? Anyway, the horse is dead and I am happy I got my rumbles at the old price.
