The Combo Club

Great point. Where's swink? He's our thinkologist and that question needs one.
Does this disqualify me?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find "This" in the club rosters. If this "This"-guy wants to disqualify you he first has to become a club-member, and run for FL.
My advice: Should this "This" guy run for FL-Office => vote NO!:cautious:

I vote yes. ANY combo being used to amplify a bass is, BY DEFINITION, a bass combo.
Ah I understand it. Using something in way it wasn't designed for changes its definition
I dug a hole in the back garden with a dinner fork. It's therefore by definition a garden fork. I played my guitar with a toothpick. It's now a guitar pick by definition. I saw a YouTube of someone banging a nail with an SM58, which is now by definition a hammer. I put a coffee cup on my Trace Elliott speaker, which is now by definition a coffee table. I had to put the cup on the TE, because there was a book on the coffee table, making it a bookshelf by definition.

If you think you are right for whatever reason, and you later use this as an argument to prove that you are right, and you repeat this fact several times so that more and more people become convinced of your rightness. Are you then right?

As a fellow countryman of yours once put it so beautifully, "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet".:hyper:

Just under 16 hours until the polls close. I wanna thank all of you for dropping in to voice you’d opinion. It’s been a while since we’ve done this and I myself have enjoyed reading the passion in your writing.

I’ve got finishing correcting papers, NFL football, and setting up a new recording rig for my Sunday. With my buddy home last week, we recorded three tunes and I’ve got mixing to do. It’s slowly becoming my favorite part of the process. The fact that an idiot like me can make CD-quality music still astounds me.

Next year I’m hoping to opening up my own casual business where any of you folks who either don’t engineer your own recordings or have little to no interest can me a link to their basic recordings and I’ll do it for ya for only 1 Schmackeroon! I know most of you do your own engineering, but but for those of you curious to hear yourself I’d like to help.

BTW, I plan on updating my studio in the music wing of my upcoming Presidential Library in 2022. Groundbreaking begins on New Year’s Day! :hyper:

I imagine swink is drinking herbal tea at this moment while wearing a wool sweater and smoking a pipe. Can ya see it?

I come back after months away and find a rerun of the 'It's a combo because I say it is and I want the Combo Club redefined to agree with me' argument. It was going when I first wandered in here.

We're overdue for the drive-by poster who complains nobody here is talking about combos.

So your vote, themickster? I appreciate your right to jump in the soapbox, but am waiting to read your closing argument. Yea or Nay?
