After a couple months, I need to sell my Cort Artisan A6. It's in mint condition. I just have no business playing a 6 string. If anyone in the US is interested in purchasing it, shoot me a PM. If anyone has a mint condition A5 they'd like to trade, I'm up for that as well. It's a great instrument.

Hi all,
It's my first post actually, but I'm reader here for a long time. Actually I choose my Cort B5 after reading the from the previous thread if not mistaken (part 1). My main bass has a broken trussrod few days before a big jazz event in my country back in 2010, so I opted out to buy a more modern sounding bass (my other 2 basses may not make the cut in the stage) and ended up with Cort B5 OPM (mahogany) at $350. I can say that the bass saves my day and become my go to bass for mixed genre.
This bass was a good bang for the buck and saves me/maybe you from headache as the preamp are well rounded. As the times goes, I replace the MK1 licensed Bartolini to MK5 Bartolini made in USA, that alone make huge different in the sound especialy the high are open an more calm to the ears (more "ting" rather than "ding") and the lows are even better. Suddenly it become main bass and I didn't count how many times I use it, but my drummer do tell me that "the rosewood fretboard make most of the songs tonight!".

Here is my Cort Jeff Berlin Rithimic bass. I bought it earlier this year from Neil Murray (of Whitesnake, Black Sabbath fame). The funny thing is, I discovered that Neil had effectively depped for Jeff Berlin in Bill Bruford's band in the 1980's, as evidenced on YouTube!
As for the bass, I'm ahsolutely thrilled with it. I have it paired with a Markbass CMD 151P Jeff Berlin combo and I've never been happier with my tone. This lovely passive bass has a very low, very clean action and very thin, fast neck with excellent fretwork. It really is a joy to play and the sound of the Bartolini JB pickups is tremendous. I stick the bridge on solo, roll the tone down a touch and I'm ready for anything. The Babicz bridge and Hipshot tuners finish off the quality appointments of this instrument. I've owned basses from Zon, Status, Kubicki, Alembic, Spector, ACG and Warwick to name a few and I am content this is the best four string I have ever played! Check it out if you see one!

The top is padauk and spalted maple. Very attractive to my eye, and is, I believe, based on a design by Jeff's wife, Gabriella Sinagra.

I can buy the same one for 395,- euro second hand. The bass is from 2016. Do you still love the bass? I think it's a beautiful design and sounds very good. I'm planning on stringing it E-A-D-G-C with a set of rotosound 66 6 string heavy gauge.
Oh yes, still love it, for both design and sound. And still a lot of possibilities to discover ! EADGC is certainly one of them
Sometime, you will never know what would happened at GC while you have chance to test more bass guitar with no brand plot.
I went to GC yesterday , actually looking for ibby SR600(Nordy pup) since I sold my Squier CV50p few weeks ago.
While I try the sr600, the staff who serve me also suggest me try shop display/great offer piece of ATK premium 4 (walnut ). After the try, I found I like it better than sr600 in bulit quality, tone and sexy finish . But she is heavy, I believe around 10lbs in my hand test.
When I hang the ATK back to the wall, my eye catch by a sexy look Cort bass which have similiar sexy wood as ATK - Arona.
Pick it up and could feel she weight is less than 8 lbs instantly.
Plug in to the Amp, wow! The tone just as great as she look ! Smooth comfort neck and nice fret work also make me suddenly fall in love with her.
The staff told me this is a great bass make by cooperation of Cort and Sandberg German few years ago, and discontinued currently. As a clearance item , I get very nice low price offer.
Finally, I check out with the Cort Arona and save some money from invest the SR600.
I never give single attention and change for Cort product, but I change and open my mind now.

After i own the Cort Arona IV and absolutely impressive with the build quality and tone, i spend some time to test the Cort C4 plus V , B5 plus V along with Ibby SR305,SR505 and Sr605 at GC yesterday.
All the bass i test come with same MK1 pup except SR305 with powerspan.
Then i narrow my choice in between Cort B5 plus V Vs SR605 , both is Ash body, black tuner/bridge/knobs/Screws , D'addario EXL165-5 and same 17.5mm string spacing . Look like twins while put together actually.
The different is neck profile, SR600 is flatter and thinner than B5 , i prefer B5 neck better in hand, just similiar to Arona and Squier CV60P's neck profile.
Tone is little different from both , compare both solo neck pickup with flat EQ , Sr605 sound more warmmer meanwhile B5 less warm but with more meaty tone. Both bridge pickups sound similiar but SR600 sound little thicker.
When both neck/bridge pickup engage, the SR605 sound warmmer with more scoop sound than B5. B5 sound more meaty with some MID present. Both bass sound nice actually, but if i looking for Juicy Warm tone, i will get the SR505 instead.
Finally i choose the Cort B5 with 3 main serious reason. ~ B string tone , hardware quality and lower price.
The B string on Cort B5 sound clearer and better focus than SR605, i think it is maybe cause by different pickup placement, B5 pickups is more forward to bridge side.
Cort B5 come with great hipshot tuning machine, hipshot O-ring knobs and better solid bridge. Those hardware is not cheap if i want upgrade SR605 with same part. I own SR705 in past, but luckly i dint meet single issue with the stock bridge.
Cort B5 V is great value of money bass guitar, or , just maybe Ibanez increase the Sound gear price in this few years. I recall the time when i bought the Sr705 in 2009, the Sr505 price is similiar with today Cort B5 plus V .

Yes, the B5 is nice... Too bad they don't make the B5FL anymore. It would have been my first real fretless bass had it still been produced.
I'm new to this forum and own a Fernandes witch I really like, but my main bass is this Cort Artisan B5, I think it's one of the first ever made and I bought it new around 1999, ever since I've been playing it in mainly metal.
Hey, can anybody here identify this Cort bass? It seems to be pretty clearly a pre-90's instrument based on the logo... But I've never seen one before. It's for sale local to me for just shy of 300$ (CAD). Looks interesting but I'm not sure if I should spring for it. If nobody here knows maybe I'll start a thread.
