I watched the rig rundown. Dirnt may have had some input but his tech makes him sound like he designed the whole thing. His "signature amp"? "He helped design the whole look..." That look has been around since about '68. Meh.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Fender neo 410. I've only had the sbm 300 for nearly 2 yrs. Finally get to mate it with what it was designed to pair with. Arrival tomorrow!
I've had mine for a month now. Love it. SB 300 into a Neo 410. i see a lot of guys running into a 610, which would have been my preferred setup, but the size of the cab, my vehicle, and my stairs situation made the 410 the right choice for me. But idle minds tend to wander....
Any of you cats running the SB 300 into a stack of two Neo 410s? Thoughts?

One Bassman 115 - I can run the amp pretty hard and get a little power tube grit/dirt. .. sounds downright delicious! !!
Into 2 Bassman 115s it's WAY huger (a word from the yoooj orange oompa-loompa ..no doubt) & enables a much cleaner tone if you so desire. Heaps of volume on tap. ...just double everything really. ..except the running the amp hard. Which of course you can. ..but you'd be getting very loud.

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but sometimes I run mine with a Pro Neo 115 and sometimes with a Pro Neo 410, depending what I am playing. When I really need to be heard I hook up both. I like having options.

For me its easy... I like the amp up... I like to hear the definition... I can run practically lower stage volumes because the speakers are up by ear.... Also the increase in speaker surface area helps fill the room... Im not pressing the speakers hard either with a pair... I can " gently" apply volume pressure and fill the room nicely.
Preaching to the choir of course, but SB 300 into Barefaced Four10 = heaven. I don't get to run that combo for more than maybe a third of my gigs, but just had another such gig the other night. So sweet, and with a tone that drew a lot of attention. I have been using the overdrive channel more and more, for general use, keeping the 'drive under control so that it is subtle. That channel has a lot of snap and clarity as well as more tone manipulation options than the vintage stack side. Opinions change over time of course, but for now I'd call it the best sounding rig combo I have played in 35+ years of playing.

Lately I've been running the FSB through a pair of OBC115. It can get stonkingly loud with just 1 cab, but the speaker breakup on the clean channel is pretty magical for low dirt stuff. Makes the OD channel that much sweeter too.
I'm running two 410neos, it's super punchy! I went the 410neo direction as well, the 610 was intreaging but the up and down stairs and load in/out needed to be accomplished by myself. I was previously hauling 2 610hlf cabs...it was killing my back and impossible with out a second person to do stairs.
I just palyed a coffee house and pug gig this weekend...believe it or not I wish I had both 410neos with me. The volume level had to be so low it would of helped having a second cabinet at ear level so I could get some definition and hear my self better...I was playing way to hard due to not hearing myself.
Just ftr. I almost always have my SB and a single 15 up on a crate or riser. I very rarely have it on the floor

I've got a Neo 410 & Neo 610. Tonally, o don't think there is much difference between the 2. A bit more heft with the 610, but that's about it. The 410 gets 70% of my gigs, and I actually like having to push it a little more. I love how it sounds working a little harder than the 610.
The SB DOES sound great pushed a bit. ..don't it?

I noticed quite a difference between the 610 and the 810 when I bought the 810. The 810 seemd to have a little more upper midrange focus than the 610 (although that could be something to do with the extra height) and the 610 was a little more "traditional" sounding, for want of a better word. Both great cabs. The 810 really kicks ass although I only use it on outdoor stages, tremendous spread and punch - really dominates onstage when you crank the SB300.
However, if they had them down here I would have bought two 410s for the best of both worlds.
Rod, I get that with a single enclosure near your legs, raising it closer to ear level helps tremendously with hearing on stage. Do you notice any differences un-coupling from the floor?
I've been idle since I got this rig but the gigs start again in a couple of weeks.
Not really. ..I mean this amp has more balls than a tennis camp.
I'm probly only raising it 14" give or take. So the coupling effect might be null and void. .???? I dunno. .. but I've not noticed any less of anything. It has so much kaboom that even on the floor. .with most of the sound blowing past my calves. ....it STILL sounds great to me.
And I always get great comments from the audiences... especially when using a single 15 with it.
