Looks like I'll be joining up with you fine fellers...


Ibanez ATK lined fretless w/ flats. I spend far more time on this bass than on my others.

I have finally gotten to be friends with the fretless Precision I built (MIM body, Warmoth neck) and now I'm finding the transition back to fretted basses difficult.

I understand now when people say frets are "speed bumps." I can get around much faster on the fretless that I can play ideas as they occur to me (which I guess ain't that fast, is it?).

My latest fretless. I converted a franken bass from fretted with a Warmoth fretless neck.

P body
G&L MFD humbucker
Warmoth fretless neck, birdseye maple/pau ferro
Hipshot Ultra-Lite tuners
D'Addario Chromes

I finished the neck with Tru-oil and left the fingerboard unfinished.

The pictures aren't great. The pau ferro board has really nice grain, and the birdseye maple looks great.

Can I join?

I got this about a year ago as a present for my surprise 40th, My wife got everyone who came to pitch in a little bit instead of bringing a present. I am a lucky dude

That is one good looking Squier fretless Jazz vinxbass.

I should have got one of those instead of my MIM Fender.


I wanna join the Fretless Club too.

I have a Yamaha RBX 260 F and a Fender MIM fretless Jazz Bass.

No joining unless pictures?
I'll make some and try to post them tomorrow.

(srry, I'm a newbie and didn't came that prepared)

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it. Bought it because I wanted to meddle around with a fretless, been playing bass for over 30+ yrs. and had never owned a fretless. Plus, I wanted to play 2-3 songs with it in my band. It def serves that purpose and it sounds surprisingly good compared to my 08' MIA Fender Jazz, a little less pup output, but still sounds way cool.:)
