I sold one of the originals for $200 about ten years ago and totally thought that I ripped the dude off. Actually come to think of it I still do... Guess someone out there wants them. doubt they'll sell many at that price though.

I have always loved the look of the grabber. I think in a large part because it has one of the few non-fender variation headstocks that I like. Rics are another bass that just look right.

That black on black is very sexy. But I don't think I like it enough to shell out $3,000US.

the retail price you pay in the stores is always less than the MSRP crap they put there... but still... you'd be looking at what $2200-2600 ??? are they crazy?

What I don't understand is why the price is so high, it is such a simple instrument but they have to charge boutique prices for it?

I'd love for gibson to make some RD's again. Then for a local shop to stock them. That way I might have a chance of playing one. I love the looks of the RD.
