I can confirm this works. I play in church and they send the music online. I listen to it and play along with the songs. I used a mini plug from my iPhone with a 1/4” converter.

I use a Rolls for my IEM's at gigs. It's a great little box that is inexpensive and versatile.
Just want to say, that after some time with the Grace Design Alix, I couldn't be happier. Have been using it to play duo with a friend a couple of times each week. Really can't recommend it enough.
I've been using my Broughton Messenger with the New Version Khan Tube DI for the last little bit and I couldn't imagine better tone. It has made me quit desiring to try other Preamp and DI gear. Actually sold my Noble after comparing them side by side and listening to live recordings with our band. The Khan is crazy good with the added tonal control of the Messenger.
I've been checking the classifieds waiting for you to unload the new version....I'm patient.
Not going to happen with this one. The combination is what I've been looking for years.
That's a pretty nice little rig. I almost went with the Khan. I like the idea of having it all on one board. IDK, something about the REDDI I just liked a little more. And I also kind of like no preamp. Less stuff to mess up.
I think one of the nicest things about that board is the CIOKS underneath with the USB to charge your wireless batteries right on the board. Very handy. Only think that would be better is if CIOKS had an outlet for the Khan. But 2 things to plug for power in isn't bad. I have 3. The REDDI, Rolls and tuner. I figure it's only 1 more than if I had a little board and it isn't worth it for the Rolls and Tuner. Now, if I had 1 more pedal I'd use my Nano for them and jus have the REDDI separate.
Anyway, nice little rig/board. Should be a keeper.

Yooooooo I had this identical problem because I had the gain cranked a bit and didn't understand how it worked. I didn't even realize what was happening (what the heck is an instruction manual?) until I put a phase 90 into my chain and realized the tone hammer was sucking out all the phase... I was like... wait, why?
So, my big rec is stick with the TH, and get yourself a nice dirt pedal in the chain. I won't even be using the TH as my DI anymore because my Meatsmoke has a Jensen transformer coupled balanced XLR DI, but it's still in my chain because I love the EQ and overall sound quality of the thing.
That EQ is so strong.
I posted this pic in the Fuzz thread because of the filthy Wizard sounds, but I'm x-posting here because of the Hilbish Sol Invictus pre. I patched this up last night, using the multiple outs of the Sol.
- Ch A was set "clean-ish" and routed out to the Wizard and DA120 and an OCSD and mixer out of frame. I also tried it without the 120.
- Ch B was set a bit warmer and routed direct to my mixer. Later, I switched to the Balanced Out which is a blend of the A+B sounds
At the mixer, I could blend levels and effects send routing.
The pre section of the Sol gets dirty pretty quickly using the gain knobs, but I've found with low gain settings you can get a good "clean" sound level by pushing a hotter signal in the front end, which is what is going on with the compressor.
I'm still considering the rack mount version of the preamp, as it will take two inputs and still give you all the output routing, and effects loops. This is not a short term action item, but still on my radar.

I LOVE my Alix. Of course it’s great on upright, but it’s equally impressive on ‘lecture, IMO. Makes my tone more “alive” and present.
I think someone mentioned it before, but, what were the dimensions of the new Khan again?
I'm pretty sure it was 7in x 4in the other day when I measured it.
TIL that the "Thru" jack on the ZOD DI also doubles as an input jack. That is all. Carry on.

I think they're usually just tied together, so they should. As always, I could be wrong.
Well...it's been awhile since I posted anything new. The pandemic has kept gigs to a minimum and I've been focusing on other hobbies that are more individual in nature (specifically competitive shooting). So my disposable income has been consumed by ammo purchases.
But I did something totally impulsive yesterday. I ordered a Line 6 POD Go. I've already been down the all digital route so I am not expecting great things, but I have to try it. Several of the guitar players at my church are running Kempers or Helix (helixes?) and it sure is funny to see the guitar player pack up and get off stage faster than I can.
As usual, I'll post up some info when it arrives and do some comparison testing.
