Here it is!
Would you play a Pink Bass ? Why are they so popular ? Why do major manufactures even make them and why are they considered cool?

If you can help me please understand these question I would appreciate it.

Yeah, I'd play a pink colored bass. I don't care. I'm an old fat guy with a bald spot, hairs coming out of my ears, and the same wife for 30+ years. Whatever degree of manliness or the opposite I have or don't have, it's way too late now to change it. Pink is fine. I also love flowers and women in tight fitting jeans.

That seems more like a burnt-orange/reddish brown to me, but computer monitors can fool you.

I LOVE colors, pretty obvious based on the appearance of my basses. My opinion is my own, but I think there are too many black and brown-burst guitars/basses out in the wild.

I wouldn't NOT play one because it's pink, but it's not a color I've chosen so far.

I dunno, I heard pink is for girls.

But I did have Jake Serek make me a Lincoln in “Flamingo Pink” from a 1957 Lincoln Premier! So maybe that’s a myth.

There are 1001 better colors for an instrument. I prefer the natural wood look, as pointed out has been overstated here already, but a solid color is just not the first thing I reach for and if, on the rare occasion I did, pink would be the last thing I would choose.

Play one? Okay, if it's part of the job.
Buy one? No.

If I did have a pink bass, it'd be this color scheme, IMO the maple neck with pearl block inlays, complimenting the pearl white pickguard is %100. And it would absolutely have to have a matching headstock

Absolutely. Most colors have a particularly rad hue somewhere in there. I actually really want a hot pink and black swirl pickguard for my moderately brightly green bass. I'd also happily play a harlequin purple instrument as well. Not to say every instrument I have is loudly colored. Sitting with Oly White, Black, Midnight Blue, BurgundyGlo, and Ferrari Green. Variety is the spice of life.

Back in the day I met and befriended lots of gay people helping my brother out with local live theater shows and related parties/gatherings...

I'm trying to think of a time I saw pink as being a thing with gay folks.

Maybe your stereotyping groups of people is rooted in something that's less-than cool... just sayin'.

A friend owned a shell pink ESP fiver. Pink body, neck, and headstock. It was PINK. I’d borrow it from time to time and the ladies loved it. When I played my clear coated ash body jazz I didn’t exist, but the pink fiver drew them like flies. Never tried to ferret out any deeper meaning (if any) for reaction to different bass colors but the pink one drew the ladies and the ash one didn't.

Exactly!!! Chicks dig the look and then actually listen to the bass for a change.
