I've had a BTB405 for about 6 years now but im fairly new to the forums, could I have a Club #?
Currently own an old purple EX Series PJ (the first bass I ever owned). Previously owned an all black SR405 and a Red BTB405QM. Don't really miss the Soundgear. Had issues with strings breaking at the bridge despite multiple visits to multiple technicians. DEFINITELY miss the BTB. Beautiful bass and monster sound. Hope to purchase a SRT800DX very soon. Cheers.

It's got the terribly designed Bunker "Tension Free" truss rod setup on it (meaning it's essentially non-adjustable), so I struggle with the action (even so much as occasionally having to suspend a 50 lb weight on the neck with it resting between two sawhorses to force the bow out of it). The tone, however, is absolutely huge; it's beefy on the bottom end and super punchy in the mids and highs; she's primarily my de-tuned bass.
Yeah, that's a beauty. Sorry to hear about the bow, but you've done a good job coming up with a solution.
I hate to be dull, but I look for a neck with very plain grain that runs vertically. Nothing that swirls or runs the direction of the frets. It's far more difficult for wood to bend that has grain going the direction of the length of the neck than going the direction of the frets. Of course, this could be just the fretboard we're seeing...
I bought my Ibby in large part because of the grain in the neck (and the tone of course). It's an inexpensive bass but has one of the straightest necks I've ever seen - which allows for very low action.
I'll have to say the ATK-4 is real eye candy though.

Thank you. It's been difficult to deal with, but the looks and the tone she gets makes it all worth it. Helps that she's not my primary bass; at 13.5 lb, my back couldn't handle a 4 hour gig with that around my neck.
Just ordered an SR605 from my friends shop. Was going to go with an SR505 but Hoshino was out of stock, so I decided to spend the extra dough for the 605. Should be here around the first week of Dec. Best part about it is since I help him out a couple of mornings a week, I'm getting it at cost.

You mean SR300? Because that looks like the exact bass I have, including the roadster orange paint. Good value, if it is. I love mine.
SRX595 which I am looking to sell and an SR506. Did have a cheap little GSR200 but it broke!
