The "I'm a bonehead" thread.

I did not search for 30 minutes for car keys that were in my pocket, you liars!

Not to mention I've certainly never gone to a gig only to find out I'd forgotten an instrument cable.

I will, however, freely admit to being star of the series, Land of The Lost, a show Brad Barker and Gard have seen.

wow. i was around for two of those three. (luckily, i brought a cord with me to save brendan's ass. ...this was the gig that he passed out in. )

...as for me... gard will tell ya...

*SCRUUNNNNNK! POP! SIZZLE!*

I got a classic this morning.

The plan: Wake up, walk to bathroom, use toilet, shower.

The truth: Wake up, walk to bathroom, pee in laundry hamper, drop boxers in toilet AND FLUSH IT, take shower. Get out of shower, notice the floor is covered in water (from the toilet), grab additional towel to mop it up with, then drop THAT in the toilet, and do what? That's right, I flushed it again. Fortunately, I realized what I was doing at this point and got started on a proper cleaning.

I want to have as much as fun as you.

Tell me how!!

I rock climb frequently, and a few weeks ago I was at the gym with my buddy on belay. He hooked up his belaying device to himself while I chalked up and got ready. I looked at him and asked "Are you ready?" He nodded and I started up. He said "arent you forgetting something?" I hadn't tied myself in to the other end of the rope! If he hadn't have said something, I would have free-climbed all the way to the top of our 30-foot wall

Sunday, I went to the laundromat's and put in all my clothes and detergent. I then proceeded to put in my quarters and the machine wouldn't take them for some reason. I kept trying and went to the other two machines I had put the rest of my clothes in. They wouldn't take them over there, either. I tried to figure out what was wrong for a good two minutes before somebody finally told me the machines were token operated. Even though I've used this place a lot before, I had completely forgotten about the tokens.

Finally, yesterday I was at our Union and saw one of my friends from behind. So I went over, clapped my hand on his shoulder, and said, "What's up man?" The guy turned around and he was a complete stranger that just looked like my friend from behind. :o

Rock climbing at a gym? BAH!

You aren't a real man.

Recently, I made some post like "Tim Weymouth was using a fretless 10 years before Jaco!". I don't think I ever looked at the topic again. It wasn't until yesterday when I was looking at a friend's Aerosmith CD and realized I'd been thinking about Tom Hamilton, and that Tim Weymouth isn't even a person, let a lone a fretless bassist from half a century ago. I have no idea what topic it was, otherwise I'd go back and correct myself -- I can just imagine the multitudes of "Oh my god, Govithoy has completely lost his rocker" posts that happened after it!

Yeah, some school jokes - I have one :D
A bit long, but the situation was very funny. Not really bonehead, though. More of a stupid situation to come up a joke with... :D

We had history in high school, it was I think at the end of third year, and our history teacher, who was also our class' chief (? dont know if you have something like that there...) and he now has become the school's principal, and he's a cool guy.
Now there was this question, going back to the history of the Prussians, he asks what we remember about the begining of the of the Prussian's history. Long silence. Then he said, "C'mon, whom did Conrad, the Masovian prince call in?" Of course I knew the answer (he called in the German order of Knights in 1225) as I won a quite a few contests in the school, but I didnt want to sound (even more) like a nerd, so I just said nothing; yet he was near me cause he knew I should know the answer. Then this stupid joke came to my head and I said to the other guy, with whom we fooled sometimes: "the Sadovian" :D :D :o
The thing is, the others were so silent this time that almost everybody heard it :o :D :smug:
Two minutes pause because of laughing... :D :smug:
The teacher could hardly start talking after about three minutes :D :D

Another weather-related joke that just came to my mind so that Chaos will understand ;)

An engineer gets work on the Isle of Mann (or insert another place in England with similar weather), so he goes there. When he arrives, he finds the weather cold and drizzling.
- Oh well, must be because its already a bit late...
Next morning he wakes to a big fog, and there is chilling cold.
- Maybe tomorrow it'll get better.
But the next day its even a bit worse, with bone-biting cold and drizzling outside, either with rain or fog.
After a few more days, with the weather staying the same, he's walking on the street and sees a boy, so he asks:
- Does the weather ever change here?
- I dont know - the boy replied - I'm only 8...
