flat. i have an Ergo EUB w/radiused board....but i was thoroughly satisfied with the sound from my 1/2 fretless 2 stringer i just rec'vd...so...it wasn't much of an issue
More a feel issue, but I'm impressed with Kevin's work. I played upright for a long time so I wanted something that was more like that. I need to still tweak a few things and I think I'm going to get a little relief planed on the fingerboard so I can lay into it like an upright, but it's an awesome bass and definitely not my last krappy.
That's your third krappy in a month it seems!! I think a 25" scale 5 string is the next thing on my horizon. Maybe in the fall unless I sell my birdsong.

My first Krappy 2-string was a true punk bass, with guitar-size tuners. A little tricky to feed new strings into the posts, but the main problem was that they killed my fingers trying to turn them, with bass strings. I initially made a Krappy tuning wrench (just a scrap of wood with a slot sawed into it), and that provided leverage for easier turning.
Due to the thickness and angle of the headstock, replacing them with bass-size tuners was not an option. Eventually, I did replace them with Gotoh guitar-tuners, which have a higher gear ratio, than the cheap-ola's that came on it .. and that made all the difference in the world. With the later basses, I bought my own bass tuners, and sent them down to Kevin to use.
Also, with my more recent Krappy's, I paid a few extra $$ to have truss rods installed. If you do not have truss rods in yours, I would suggest de-tuning them, any time they're going to be out-of-use for a period of time. 2 strings means less overall force than 4 or 5, but still a good idea to do that.
And don't forget the lemon oil.

ordered a fretless strap-on EUB the other night...on your advice JoePasko...I emailed the krappmeister this morning RE: upgraded tuners and truss rod...he just emailed me back and informed me this model comes with a truss rod AND upgraded tuners!!! VOILA! ya got toast!!!!

Count me in! My Rob Allen mouse-inspired short scale is on the way! 30" scale, fake f-hole! perfect for my polka band to look acoustic and feel like a regular electric. I've been using a GT Microbass but I am so tired of the rubber strings and crappy intonation.

I had a similar idea a few days ago...and when I told Kevin, he said: "are guys ganging up on me? another guy wanted something similar" LOL...of course...I threw around the idea of a Rick Turner-esque, a "Mouse" and a Carvin AC40 in that convo....great minds think alike? I am settling for the "Hassel-HOFNER" strap on EUB fretless w/piezo
Thats exactly what i was going for! I spent forever trying to decide on an acoustic-sounding electric bass. I looked at the Ricker Turner/MK Electroline, a Used Mouse, the AC40 and the new Ibanez Artcore. Ended up going with the Krappy at 30" scale.
This one is fretted 30" scale. I'll put tapewounds on their and it will hopefully have a big boomy sound. I've found that people think its acoustic if it looks acoustic. No piezo but may add one later if I find its needed.

It took a little while, but I was able to track down all 7 of my Krappy's, on the official website. They were built between 2008 and 2014.
LesPasko is basically a re-make of FretLesPaul2, with the upgrade to full-size bass tuners and a truss rod. I tune both to E/A (w/ GHS Brite-Flats, a/k/a 'groundwound' strings).
The half-fretted Bo Diddley is tuned B/E, and features two factory-made single-string bridges that I bought myself, and sent down to Kevin to use.
With the red bass and the 3-string banjo, I provided the bodies, and Kevin built and installed the necks. ( Note the 'Krappy' logo on the headstock of the bass ! )
There could very well be another in my future, maybe something in area of lap-steel / Hawaiian guitar. But I am in no big rush to bring anymore instruments into the house right now .... been trying to focus on getting better at playing the ones I already have !
I was just pickin' my banjolaika with the gang last weekend, in Saratoga NY :

You can hear it on the song "Czerwony pas" (krappy kover of a Polish folk song) at Link Removed - it's the distorted track. I think I used the three-string neck.
