**The LaBella 760FL Deep-Talkin' Flats LOVE Thread**

I just came here to spread some more 760FL love. The set on my P-bass is about 15 years old. There's a newer set on my Cassady.

They just feel so right and so good that you want to pick up a bass and play. Just to feel 'em under your fingers! Perfect tension, perfect texture, perfect thump.

I recently ordered a custom Lakland P, and I sent the company a set of FL's to install on her, right out of the gate. They're the only way to fly.

I don't know if you're still looking, but for roundwounds I use D'Addario NYXL Lights or GHS Boomers Medium-Lights (both sets are 45-65-80-100) and if I install them on a bass that previously had La Bella 760FL I don't have to adjust anything other than the intonation.

I like Labella RX nickels and find I can switch with FL’s with only minor tweaks. FS, not so much.

I’m a fan of the 760FLs but I’ve had two sets in the past few years that had that strange buzzing issue on the D and G which I wasn’t happy about. Thankfully most of the sets are solid and I have a few basses with sets that have been on a decade or so and still going strong.

Tried a lot of flats .. the 760 are a little stiff but what a tone !!
Best of all flats I’ve tried so far, thick but growly .. thumb up :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Only issue? In Europe they’re expensive !!

No, they don’t .. they have a vintage tone but they’re a bit thinner and, to tell the truth, they didn’t seem to me so much more flexible that the 760FL.
I first bought a set of LTF-4A because I was attracted by their name but, in the end, I’d rather buy a set of FL or FX maybe (I actually bought the LTF before the 760FL)
