May I join?
I used to play in garage bands and blues jams with a few paying gigs here and there, but that ended when my kids were little. I do have a B100R and a Workingman's 12, but I spend most of my time with my G&L SB-2 plugged into an iRig into my Mac with my headphones on recording directly into Garageband. The only "group" work I do is by swapping files with friends who want to collaborate on songs or have me lay a bass line to their songs. I'm actually quite happy with this and so is my family. I get to practice when I want, play a wide variety of music and there are no band dynamics to deal with. I'm not sure I ever want to be in a band again. I do want to play with other but more of the living room/ back porch kinda thing.
My quest now is to maintain a musical conversation using my bass. I mean, I can maintain a verbal conversation with just about any one so I should be able to maintain a musical conversation no matter what genre or instruments are being played.
Oh, and I am a chronic over-explainer.....

I would like to be added to the club, since even though I've been playing for over 15 years, I have never played professionally nor been in a band. I play because I love all things low end and really enjoy playing lots of different bass-heavy music.

I play for fun, and I enjoy it so much more than when I was trying to get a band together, etc.
I still learn new stuff (Like getting a fretless bass last February)

Still playing on my own, I got an ibanez btb 6 string last month.... and I love it.. I've been listening to new animals as leaders this week. and clutchy hopkins, and jackson 5 motown years. And pantera. Dimebag tradgy was 10 years ago last week. O. And some gary wilis.... he's great.
